THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (HIBBERT LANE AND WOODVILLE DRIVE, MARPLE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 4 August 2026 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on 27 August 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time at Hibbert Lane, Marple (South East side) from a point 10m southeast of the intersection of the southeastern kerbline of Woodville Drive to a point 10m northwest of the intersection of the northwestern kerbline of Woodville Drive. Woodville Drive, Marple (Both Sides) from the intersection of the southwestern kerbline of Hibbert Lane for a distance of 14m in a south westerly direction.
A copy of the Order and map may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
