PROPOSED PUFFIN CROSSING
A48, Pwllmeyric
Notice given under section 23(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Monmouthshire County Council proposes to provide and establish 1 new puffin crossing for pedestrians on the A48, Pwllmeyric in exercise of its powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The proposed location(s): A48 Pwllmeyric, approximately 10 meters south west from the A48 junction with C61.3.
A plan showing the proposed location(s) can be viewed online at: http://www.monmouthshire.gov.uk/public-consultation-traffic. 
In accordance with section 23(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Heddlu Gwent Police have been consulted on this proposal.
Any person wishing to comment on this proposal may do so:
•  Completing the online consultation form, available at: www.monmouthshire.gov.uk/public-consultation-traffic, which can also be accessed using the QR code below; or
•  Writing to: Traffic Section, Monmouthshire County Council, County Hall, Usk, NP15 1GA.
Comments should be received no later than 17:00 on 2nd September 2026. Monmouthshire County Council will consider all comments received in response to this notice before deciding whether to proceed with this proposal. Comments may be made available to the public and disseminated for that purpose.
