Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.4) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (DYL means double yellow lines “no waiting at any time” restrictions) on the following length of road in Tenterden Borough of Ashford:-

SMALLHYTHE ROAD – (DYL) – On the north east side 20 metres from its junction with Longfield for a distance of 88.5 metres in a south easterly direction. .
This order was originally advertised as Amendment 32 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been renamed as above.

The Order was made on 13 August 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 14 August 2026.

(AMENDMENT No.7) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will introduce and amend Disable Persons Parking Bays (DPPBs), double yellow lines (DYL) and single yellow lines (SYL) on the following lengths of roads in Dartford:-

AVONMOUTH ROAD – DYL - On both side from its junction with Humber Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction. DARENTH PARK AVENUE – DYL – On the West side from the a point 3.7metres south of the southern boundary wall of 70 for a distance of 78.5 meters in a northerly direction. HILLTOP GARDENS – On the east side replace the existing single yellow lines with double yellow lines from garage 26 to the northern property boundary of 52-62. HUMBER ROAD – DYL – (1) On the south side from its junction with Avonmouth Road for a distance of 10 metres in both directions. (2) On the west side from the northern boundary of 41 for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction. KENWYN ROAD – DYL – On the east side from its junction with Humber Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. LOWFIELD STREET – Reduce the existing payment parking bay by 11 metres and extend the existing restricted parking zone to a point in line with the southern boundary of no 31. This proposed restriction has been removed from the order RED STREET – DYL – (1) On the north side from the boundary of The Exchange/The Croft for a distance of 50 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the south side from the boundary of The Bungalow/Victor Cottage for a distance of 50 metres in a westerly direction.

Place DPPBs on: ALMA ROAD – On the south east side from a point 29 metres from its junction with High Street for a distance of 6.6 metres in a westerly direction. COLNEY ROAD – Outside no. 9-11. DURRANT WAY – Outside no. 31-33/35. GORE ROAD – Outside no. 11/13. KEARY ROAD – Outside no. 35/37-39/41. MARTINS ROAD - Outside no. 19-21SHENLEY ROAD – Outside no. 13. SUFFOLK ROAD – Remove a permit parking bay and replace with a DPPB outside no. 25/27. This proposed bay has been removed from this order ANNE OF CLEVES ROAD – Outside no. 73.

Revoke DPPB’s on: FULWICH ROAD – Outside no. 161 and 151. JOYCE GREEN LANE – Outside no. 17. ST ALBANS ROAD – Outside no. 104. ST MARTINS ROAD – Outside no. 25-29. YORK ROAD – Outside no. 2b.

The Order was made on 13 August 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 August 2026.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will introduce and amend double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Dartford:-

ANNE OF CLEVES ROAD - On the east side to rescind the current permit parking bay and implement a Disabled Parking Permit Bay from a point 1.1 metres north of the northern boundary of 73 Anne of Cleves Road for a distance of 6.6 metres in a southerly direction. LOWFIELD STREET - On the west side to rescind paid for parking bay and replace with restricted parking zone from southern boundary of 31 for 11 metres in a southerly direction. MAIN ROAD - On the south side to implement a Limited Waiting Mon-Sat 10am-2pm 3hrs No Return Within 1hr from a point 18 metres east of its junction with Langafel Close for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction. PROVIDENCE STREET - On the south side to rescind the permit bay from eastern boundary of The Haven for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction. RIVERVIEW ROAD – On the west side to rescind the permit pay outside number 29 Riverview Road due to a new dropped kerb. SPITAL STREET – On the north side outside 17A Spital Street reduce the size of the existing Disabled Parking Persons Bay by 16.8 metres and change it to a Goods Vehicle Loading Bay only between Mon-Sat 8am-6.30pm 1 hour no return within 1 hour.

(WAITING RESTRICTION AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025 (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2026

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 9 and 10 of, and Part VI of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) as amended, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order.

The effect of the Order would be to remove a build out and some free parking bays and replace with DYLs (Double Yellow Lines no parking at any time) on the following length of road in Swanscombe, Dartford:-

STANHOPE ROAD – On the north east side remove the build out outside 19/21 Stanhope Road and replace with DYLs to the boundary of 25/27 Stanhope Road.

The Order will be implemented by the 27 August 2026 on an experimental basis for a period of eighteen months after which time it will be reviewed. The Council may then consider whether to make the Order permanent or abandon it.

(AMENDMENT No.5) ORDER 2026

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the proposed Order will be to implement no waiting at any times DYLs no waiting restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Sevenoaks:-

ASH ROAD – (1) On the west side join up the existing DYLs outside the Post Office. (2) On the east side from its junction with St Johns Lane for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction. BESSELS WAY – On both sides from the Junction with Westerham Road and 12/24 Bessels Way place Single Yellow Lines between 8.30am and 6.30pm between the existing DYLs. DARENTH LANE – On the east side extend the existing DYLs outside property 2 Darenth Lane by 2 metres in a southerly direction. DOWNSVIEW CLOSE – On the west side outside properties 12 and 13 from the junction of Downsview Close for a distance of 8 meters north and 8 metres south. HIGH STREET – On the west side outside 73/75 High Street change the existing parking bays to include a Wednesday Market restriction between 2am and 2pm. HOLLY BUSH LANE – On the west side opposite 6 and 10 Holly Bush Lane place a residents permit parking bay with shared limited waiting between Mon-Fri 8.30am to 6.30pm. LIME TREE WALK – On the south side both sides of the junction entrance with Sennocke Court place DYLs to join up with the existing parking bays. LONG BARN ROAD – On the north west side change the existing school keep clear markings from 8.30am-9.30am and 3pm-4pm to 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm. MILL LANE – (1) On the south west side to a point 16 metres north and 28 metres south of its junction with Silk Mills Close. (2) On both sides of the junction with Seal Road for a distance of 5 metres in a northerly direction. OTFORD ROAD – On the west side from the junction with Bradbourne Vale Road extend the existing DYLs by 7 metres in a northerly direction. SEAL ROAD – On the north side to a point 17 metres west and 30 metres east from its junction with Mill Lane. SILK MILLS CLOSE – On both sides of the junction with Mill Lane for a distance of 5 metres in a SOUTH PARK – On the south side outside the telephone exchange change the existing electric bay from taxis only to all vehicles. ST JOHNS LANE – On the north side from its junction with Ash Road for a distance of 16 metres in an easterly direction. ST MARYS DRIVE – On the south east side from a point opposite the south western property boundary of 20 St Marys Drive for a distance of 5.5 metres in a south westerly direction. VINE COURT ROAD – On the west side extend the existing DYLs outside 17 Vine Court Road by a distance of 4 metres in a northerly direction.

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby propose to make the above named Order:

The effect of the Order will be to reduce the current speed limit from 30mph and introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following length of road in Shoreham, Sevenoaks:

BOAKES MEADOW, BOWERS ROAD, CHURCH STREET, CROWN ROAD, FORGE WAY, MESNE WAY, MILDMAY PLACE, MILL LANE AND PALMERS ORCHARD – For their entire length. FILSTON LANE – From its junction with High Street for a distance of 150 metres in a southerly direction. HIGH STREET - From its junction with Mill Lane to its junction with Filston Lane.
