(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (G26-148)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Calverton in the Borough of Gedling.

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Main Street, Woodborough - From its junction with Bank Hill to its junction with Park Avenue
b. Bank Hill, Woodborough - From its junction with Main Street for a distance of 500 metres
c. Foxwood Lane, Woodborough - From its junction with Bank Hill for a distance of 250 metres
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road at Woodborough in the Borough of Gedling:-
a. Main Street, Woodborough - From its junction with Bank Hill to its junction with Park Avenue
b. Bank Hill, Woodborough - From its junction with Main Street for a distance of 500 metres
c. Foxwood Lane, Woodborough - From its junction with Bank Hill for a distance of 250 metres
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 09:00 hours, Monday 24th August 2026
Until 15:30 hours, Friday 4th September 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Nottingham Road - B684 Woodborough Lane - B684 Lime Lane - A614 Ollerton Road - B6386 Oxton Road - B6386 Nottingham Road - A6097 Oxton Bypass - Moor Lane - Bonner Lane and vice versa
The Order will come into force on Monday, 24th August 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out works to do carriageway resurfacing;
