Bonchurch Road - Temporary Road Closure

Portsmouth City Council (Bonchurch Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.137) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 24th August 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
BONCHURCH ROAD
From outside Nos. 27 to 39 Bonchurch Road, on both sides.
B) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE WAY
BONCHURCH ROAD
From its junction with Milton Road to outside No. 27 Bonchurch Road.
From its junction with Euston Road to outside No. 39 Bonchurch Road.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate water works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 24th August 2026 to 21st September 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Euston Road, Warren Avenue, Milton Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
