Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 24th August 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
FARLINGTON ROAD
From outside No.54 to No.12 Farlington Road, on both sides. (Works will be carried out in sections).
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
DRAYTON ROAD
From outside No. 43 Drayton Road, to outside No.37 Drayton Road, on both sides.
EMSWORTH ROAD
From outside No.54 Emsworth Road, to outside No.13 Emsworth Road, on both sides.
HAVANT
ROAD
From outside No.54 Havant Road, to outside No.25 Havant Road, on both sides.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate telecommunications works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 24th August 2026 to 11th September 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in sections as notified by signage and letters to residents in advance of works taking place.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Farlington Road, Chichester Road, Drayton Road, Powerscourt Road and Farlington Road, Chichester Road, Emsworth Road, Powerscourt Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
