(VARIOUS ROADS, THE DOWNS AREA, CLIFTON. SNEYD PARK  AND STOKE BISHOP, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF  USE BYVEHICLES) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF  WEIGHT LIMIT) ORDER 2026  

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be: 
1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and 
2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing weight limit in lengths of Circular Road, Druid Hill, Fountain Hill, Ladies Mile, Stoke Hill and Stoke Road so as to allow access and egress for event construction vehicles. 

Exemption will be provided in the Order for authorised event vehicles and for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on, adjacent to or accessible only from the closed lengths of roads. The Order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon the need to facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians and vehicles during periods of increased activity associated with events being held on The Downs. 
The Order will be operative from 28th August 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. 

However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the need to close and restrict the roads during periods of increased activity (which are anticipated to take place between 8:00 a.m. on 28th August 2026 and 1:00 a.m. on 31st August 2026 and on any subsequent dates when events are held).

North westbound: Clifton Down, Upper Belgrave Road, Westbury Road, White Tree Roundabout, Parrys Lane, Druid Hill, Stoke Hill 
South eastbound: Stoke Hill, Druid Hill, Parrys Lane, White Tree Roundabout, Westbury Road, Whiteladies Road, Upper Belgrave Road, Clifton Down

(GOODEVE ROAD. SNEYD PARK. BRISTOL)  (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026  

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Goodeve Road which extends from Hazelwood Road to Sea Walls Road. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 7th September 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 7th September 2026 and 5th November 2026). 
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sea Walls Road, The Avenue, Hazelwood Road and vice versa 

(PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY 94 (ACCESS ROAD TO CANFORD PARK).  WESTBURY-ON-TRYM, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF  USE BY FOOT PASSENGERS) ORDER 2026  

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Public Right of Way 94 (Access Road to Canford Park) which extends from Canford Lane to Public Right of Way 95 (Canford Park Footpaths). 
The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and will be operative from 16th September 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Public Right of Way 95 (Canford Park Footpaths), Public Right of Way 95 (Canford Cemetery Footpaths), Public Right of Way 96 (Canford Park Footpaths), Canford Park Footpaths, Canford Lane and vice versa

(ASHTON GATE UNDERPASS, ASHTON. BRISTOL)  (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026  

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Ashton Gate Underpass which extends from Winterstoke Road to Whitebeam Gardens. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 29th September 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. 

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place overnight between 7.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. daily from 29th September 2026 to 3rd October 2026).
