Temporary Closing Of Footpath Aston 031
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Aston 031, between Bennington Road and Brookfield, for an approximate distance of 80m.
Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network

The purpose of the Order is to enable resurfacing works to take place.

The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 10 August 2026 for up to 3 days, when signs are in place.

(Temporary Closing Of Shephall Green, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shephall Green, Stevenage from a point 90m southwest of its junction with Hydean Way south westwards for a distance of approximately 90m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Shephall Green, Hydean Way and Shephall Green.

The Order is needed because carriageway remedial works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On The Underpass Situated Beneath The A1070 Six Hills Way/A1072 Gunnels Wood Road Roundabout, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the underpass situated beneath the A1070 Six Hills Way/A1072 Gunnels Wood Road roundabout, Stevenage from its junction with the A1072 Gunnels Wood Road northbound slip road leading onto the A1072 Gunnels Wood Road/A1070 Six Hills Way roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 282m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, the A1072 Six Hills Way roundabout and A1072 Gunnels Wood Road.
Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 27 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Chells Way, Stevenage And Lye Hill, Breachwood Green) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the roads"):-
1. that length of Chells Way, Stevenage from its junction with the A602 Six Hills Way roundabout north westwards to its junction with Mobbsbury Way, a distance of approximately 925m.
An alternative route will be via Mobbsbury Way, Gresley Way, B1037 Fairlands Way, A1155 Fairlands Way and Chells Way.

2. that length of Lye Hill, Breachwood Green from its junction with Chapel Road south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Whiteway Bottom, a distance of approximately 1658m.
An alternative route will be via Chapel Road, Heath Road, The Heath, Darley Road, Winch Hill Road and Whiteway Bottom.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Valley Way And Hydean Way, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Valley Way, Stevenage from its junction with Peartree Way south westwards to its junction with Shackledell, a distance of approximately 592m.
An alternative route will be via Valley Way, Six Hills Way, Shephall Way, A602 Broadhall Way and Valley Way.

2. that length of Hydean Way, Stevenage from its junction with Long Leaves north westwards to its junction with Valley Way, a distance of approximately 117m.
An alternative route will be via Hydean Way, Shephall Way, A602 Broadhall Way and Valley Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of School Lane, Offley) Order No.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of School Lane, Offley from its junction with Offley Public Bridleway No.030 north westwards for a distance of approximately 138m ("the Road").
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 26 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of B1037 Stevenage Road, Walkern) - Order No.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1037 Stevenage Road, Walkern from a point in line with the eastern boundary of B1037 Stevenage Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 26m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via B1037 (Stevenage Road/High Street/White Hill/unnamed road), A507 (Baldock Road/unnamed road/Clothall Road), B656 (Whitehorse Street/Hitchin Street/Letchworth Road/Baldock Road), A505 Letchworth Gate, B197 (Jacks Hill/High Street/Graveley Road/North Road), A1072 Martins Way, A1155 Verity Way and B1037 (Fairlands Way/Stevenage Road).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of The Cycle Track Situated On The East Side Of A602 Monkswood Way, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the east side of A602 Monkswood Way, Stevenage from a point 13m north west of its junction with Elder Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the Cycle Track").
Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footpath.

The Order is needed because the installation of a new antenna is proposed to be executed near the Cycle Track.

The Order will come into effect from 7 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

(Temporary Closing Of Salusbury Lane, Offley) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Salusbury Lane, Offley from its junction with Luton Whitehill south eastwards to its junction with Lawns Close, a distance of approximately 176m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Luton Whitehill, Luton Road, High Street, Kings Walden Road and Salusbury Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 10 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of St Katherines Close, Ickleford from a point 118m south west of its junction with Greenfield Avenue south westwards and south eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 7 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 16 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
