TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order:
ORDER NO. MCC 150906259 : The City of Manchester (Various Roads, Ancoats & Beswick Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Adstone Close, Bilsworth Close, Carruthers Street, Caterham Street, Harding Street, Harrison Street, Malta Street, Oswald Street, Pattishall Close, Providence Street, Snell Street, Taunton Street, Towcester Street, Tatbury Close. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed Locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate MCC micro asphalt programme. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th August 2026 to 26th October 2026. The order shall come into operation on 24th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 10th August 2026.
ORDER NO. MCC 151187925 : The City of Manchester (Bootle Street, Marron Place & Jerusalem Place, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary One Way Vehicular Traffic, No Right- Turn & No Entry) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Bootle Street One Way from Southmill Street to Deansgate. Place a No Right-Turn on Marrown Place and Jerusalem Place at their junction with Bootle Street & make Bootle Street No Entry from Deansgate. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Southmill Street, Lloyd Street, Deansgate, Peter Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order the new road layout. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 23rd August 2026 to 23rd December 2026 The Order shall come into operation on 23rd August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
