TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000 151521459: The City of Manchester (Sackville Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary No waiting and No Loading) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to restrict vehicular traffic from Lower Albion Street to Charles Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate essential maintenance works along the Mancunian Way. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th August 2026 to 16th April 2027. The order shall come into operation on 24th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 10th August 2026.

The effect of the Order is to restrict vehicular traffic on various streets across Manchester City Centre. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate Manchester Pride 2026. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 24th August 2026 to 3rd September 2026. The order shall come into operation on 24th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
