What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend,under its relevant powers, to make the following Order : C1235 Yarkhill & Wormlow,, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1235 Yarkhill & Wormlow, near to Cherrywood Farm heading NE towards the junction of the A466. Grid Ref: 348157/228087 to 349401/228641.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A466 onto the C1234 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to fibre overhead cabling works and the likelihood ofdanger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come intoforce on 1st of September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the worksare expected to be completed within 1 day (9.30-14.-00hrs).
