What is happening?

(PADDY LANE AND VALLEY DRIVE KENDAL)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;
(i) C5067 Paddy Lane, Kendal, from its junction with Old Sedbergh Road (C5066), extending in a southerly direction for a distance of approx. 20 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Paddy Lane (C5067), A684 and Old Sedbergh Road (C5066).
Duration: From 25th August 2026 for approx. 3 days (Ref: TTROW/19667)
(ii) Valley Drive, Kendal, from its junction with Littledale, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 45 metres.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Valley Drive, Esthwaite Avenue and Lingmoor Rise.
Duration: From 16th September 2026 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/20083)

The Order will come into operation on 25th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
