SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Vinney Lane, Horton) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Vinney Lane which extends from King Lane generally westwards for 640m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon telecom ducting works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 10 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration, between 8am and 6pm. No alternative route available: Access to be maintained.

(Perrinpit Road, Frampton Cotterell) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Perrinpit Road which extends from Bristol Road north westwards for 140m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new utility connection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 10 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Alternative route: Old Gloucester Road, B4059, B4058 Bristol Road and vice versa.

(Various Roads, Various Wards – Pre Surface Dressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has:- a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pre surface dressing carriageway patching works. The order became operative from 10 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration in respect of each location. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Old Gloucester Road which extends from Bristol Road to Filton Road. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon cabling works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 11 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: Old Gloucester Road (parts unaffected), Bristol Road, Filton Road and vice versa.

(Park Street, Hawkesbury Upton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the entire length of Park Street. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon voltage diversion and sewer repair works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 6 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 months duration. Alternative route: High Street, Starveal Lane, Back Street and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which will has:- a) closed, temporarily, to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; and b) closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon carriageway patching works. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Gully Lane which extends from Church Road generally southwards for 490m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole replacement works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 11 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration, between 8am and 5pm. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Tanhouse Lane which extends from a point 65m east of North Road eastwards for 115m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new water supply works. The order became operative from 10 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Engine Common Lane, Broad Lane, North Road and vice versa.

(Littleton Drew Lane, Acton Turville) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Littleton Drew Lane which extends from Chestnut Close to Hollybush Close. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon sewer connection and junction construction works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 10 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 month duration. Alternative route: Littleton Drew Lane, B4039 and vice versa.

(St. Martin’s Lane, Marshfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of St. Martin’s Lane which extends from a point 40m south of High Street southwards for 25m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon telecom ducting works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 2 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Sheepfair Lane, High Street and vice versa.

(A38 Gloucester Road, Almondsbury) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to suspend, temporarily, the bus lane in that length of A38 Gloucester Road southwestbound carriageway which extends from Hortham Lane to Fernhill.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with bus shelter
construction works. The order will be operative from 1 September 2026 for
a maximum period of eighteen months. The measures however may not be
implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in
position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are
anticipated to be of 2 days duration.

(New Road and Orchard Rise, Olveston) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Hazel Lane which extends from A38 Gloucester Road northwards for 20m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with Active Travel CRSTS works. The order will be operative from 31 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 month duration. Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of B4055 Cross Hands Road which extends from Northwick Road south eastwards for 840m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with works to reconstruct and resurface the carriageway. The order will be operative from 31 August 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 months duration. Alternative route: B4064, A403, B4461, B4061, A38, Over Lane, B4055 (part unaffected) and vice versa.

(Bristol Road, Hambrook) (Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit, temporarily, any vehicle proceeding in Bristol Road when reaching A4174, from making a left turn into A4174. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with telecom cabling works. The order will be operative from 1 September 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restriction however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between 8pm and 6am.
