Order 2026

Dorset Council has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

When the Order comes into operation on 14th August 2026 the effect of the Order will be to extend and introduce no waiting at any time and no loading at any time restrictions along sections of Dorchester Road, Lytchett Minster.

Temporary 30mph Speed Limit, Various Roads, Wimborne St Giles

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 17th August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the 30mph speed limits will remain in force until 24th August 2026.

This Order will enable We Out Here Limited safe access and egress to We Out Here Festival.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

  1. To impose a temporary 30mph speed limit upon Various Roads, Wimborne St Giles as listed;

    [i] B3081 at such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs;

    [ii] B3078 at such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs;

    [iii] Creech Hill - Wimborne St Giles to B3081 at such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs;

    [iv] Lane From Junction At B3078 And B3081 To Edmondsham at such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs.

Temporary 30mph Speed Limit, B3078, Witchampton

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5th August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the temporary 30mph speed limit will remain in force until 30th November 2026.

This Order will enable Chevron Traffic Management to impose a temporary 30mph speed limit in conjunction with hoarding and building repair works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[i] To impose a temporary 30mph speed limit upon B3078, Witchampton at such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs.

Temporary Closure of Randalls Hill, Lytchett Minster

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along Randalls Hill, Lytchett Minster at such times and to such extent as indicated by signage on site between Huntick Road and Pit Bottom, a distance of approximately 880 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 17th August 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 4th September 2026.

This Order will enable Wessex Water Services to excavate in and across the road and verge to install a fire hydrant.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
