Wiltshire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C61 (Part), Donhead St Andrew; from its junction with A30 to its junction with Overway Lane to enable Wessex Internet to carry out build chambers and associated works. Alternative route via Overway Lane – A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 31 August 2026 and the closure will be required until 11 September 2026. B) Wyndham Lane (Part), Allington; from its junction with A338 for a distance of approximately 200m in a south easterly direction to enable Wessex Internet to carry out complete road crossing and other associated works. Alternative route via Wyndham Lane (unaffected length) – Newton Toney Road – Tidworth Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact Wessex Internet on 02394 318286.

C) A30 (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its property known as Post Office to its property known as West View.

D) Peckons Hill (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its junction with A30 for a distance of approximately 10m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out repair cover and associated works. Alternative route C via A30 (unaffected length) – A350 – B3089 – A30 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Alternative route D via Peckons Hill (unaffected length) – Dennis Lane and vice versa. E) A338 (Part) Bus Lane Only, Salisbury; from its junction with Rowbarrow for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out communication cover, frame repairs and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 31 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. F) UC 963204 (Part), Chilmark; from its junction with C276 for a distance of approximately 200m in an easterly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out pumping station and associated works. Alternative route via UC 963204 (unaffected length) – The Street – C276 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 2 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

G) C291 (Part), Orcheston; from its property known as Elston Lodge for a distance of approximately 62m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out sewer rehabilitation via CIPP lining, to seal sewers of infiltration, stopping potential flooding and pollution. Alternative route via C291 (unaffected length) – A360 – Tanners Lane – The Hollow and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. H) Crawlboys Lane (Part), Ludgershall; from its junction with Old Common Way for a distance of approximately 120m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole replacement and other associated works. Alternative route via Crawlboys Lane (unaffected length) – Biddesden Lane – A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 August 2026 and the closure will be required for 1 day. I) B3085 (Part), Durrington; from its junction with A3028 to its junction with High Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and other associated works. Alternative route via Larkhill Road – Netheravon Road – Hackthorne Road – Church Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 August 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 5 days. Orders A) to I) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction on the following lengths of roads:

A) A350 (Part), Sedgehill and Semley; from its property known as Silverwood for a distance of approximately 95m in a northerly direction.

B) C308 (Part), Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with A350 for a distance of approximately 55m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out mains replacement and associated works. The speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This speed limit restriction will come into operation on 10 August 2026 and will be required until 04 September 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
