Totton - Proposed No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading Restrictions

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON VARIOUS ROADS IN TOTTON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to revoke the limited waiting restrictions on Bartram Road and to implement No Waiting at Any Time restrictions across various roads in Totton as detailed below:

REVOCATIONS

No Waiting 9am – 6pm

Bartram Road, southwest, Between a point 11.5 metres north-west of the junction with A36 Totton Bypass and a point 18 metres north-west thereof.

IMPLEMENTATION

No Waiting At Any Time

Access to Units 1-5 South Hampshire Industrial Park, both, Between its junction with Brunel Road north-westwards to the highway boundary.

Access to Units 6-9 South Hampshire Industrial Park, both, between its junction with Brunel Road north-westwards to the highway boundary.

Access to Units 36-38 Hampshire Industrial Park, both, between its junction with Stephenson Road north-eastwards to the highway boundary.

Bartram Road, both, between its junction with A36 Totton Bypass and a point 29.5 metres northwest of that junction.

Brunel Road, northwest, Between its junction with the A36 and a point 25 metres northeast of the access to Unit 1-5 South Hampshire Industrial Park.

Brunel Road, northwest, Between a point 40 metres northeast of the access to Units 1-5 South Hampshire Industrial Park north-eastwards for a distance of 28 metres.

Brunel Road, northwest, between a point 15 metre southwest of the access to Unit 6-9 South Hampshire Industrial Park and a point 15 metres northeast of that access.

Brunel Road, North, Between a point 15 metres west of access to Testwood Lakes and a point 15 metres east of the junction with Nutsey Close.

Brunel Road, Southeast and South, Between its junction with the A36 to a point 15 metres east of the access road to Units 30-43 South Hampshire Industrial Park.

No Loading 8am – 6pm

Junction Road, both, between a point 10 metres north of its junction with Maynard Road southwards to the northern edge of the level crossing.

Maynard Road, both, between its junction with A336 Ringwood Road and its junction with Junction Road.

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS:

All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk  quoting reference: A2155/MJB, by Friday 28th August 2026. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (New Forest) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2021 (Variation No. 6) (Totton, Hythe and New Milton) Order 2026.”
