NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Street Lane from its junction with Hoober Lane and Angel Lane to outside number 6 Street Lane from Monday 10th August until Wednesday 12th August 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of clean rainwater drain).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF WATH WOOD DRIVE AND PART OF RIG DRIVE SWINTON ROTHERHAM

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Friday 14th August until Monday 31st August 2026. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (gas main renewals).

SCHEDULE

(i)     Wath Wood Drive from its junction with Warren Vale Road to the end of the cul de sac (there is no alternative route).

(ii)    Rig Drive from its junction with Warren Vale Road for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction (the alternative route will be via local neighbouring streets).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Clifton Terrace from a point approximately 35m north east of its junction with Wellgate for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction from Wednesday 12th August until Friday 14th August 2026.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (water main repairs).

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Moorgate Road, Welham Drive and Hall Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (electrical works).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND
TEMPORARY 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT RESTRICTION)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to:

1.     Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four roads specified in the schedule to this notice for periods of time between Monday 10th August and Sunday 20th September 2026.

2.     Suspend parts of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction) (Consolidation) Order 2004 and to reduce from 60 miles hour to 30 miles per hour the speed limit for motor vehicles travelling along Common Lane and Long Road for periods of time between Monday 10th August and Sunday 20th September 2026.

The reason for the prohibitions and speed limits is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Installation of electric main).

SCHEDULE

(i)     Kingsforth Lane from its junction with B6060 Morthen Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via B6060 Morthen Road, A631 Wickersley Roundabout, A631 Bawtry Road, A631 Hellaby Roundabout and Cumwell lane).

(ii)    B rampton Road – full length (the alternative route will be via Brampton Road, Katherine Road, B6060 Green Arbour Road, Hawk Hill Lane, Common Lane and vice versa. Access to be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles).

(iii)   Common Lane – full length (the alternative route will be via Hawk Hill Lane, B6060 Green Arbour Road, B6060 Woodhouse Green, Brampton Road and vice versa).

(iv)   Long Road – full length (the alternative route will be via Hawk Hill Lane, B6060 Laughton Common Lane, B6060 Station Road, B6060 Outgang Lane, B6060 Monksbridge Road Roundabout, B6463 Monksbridge Road, B6463 Todwick Road, Common Road and vice versa).

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 119
THE ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.1 (PART) IN THE PARISH OF
TREETON ROTHERHAM
PUBLIC FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER 2026

On 30th. July 2026, The Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public right of way as shown on the displayed Map. Commencing from Grid Reference SK 4338 8860 at a Point marked A on the Order map and proceeding in a generally northerly direction for a distance of approximately 20 metres to Grid Reference SK 4339 8862 at a Point marked C on the Order map and then in a generally north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 30 metres to Grid Reference SK 4340 8663 at a Point marked B on the Order map. The width of the new path will have a width of 1.22 metres.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map may be seen free of charge at the Head of Legal Services, Riverside house, Main Street, Rotherham S60 1AE between 9.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Callers are requested to quote reference NF/84345 (email Legal-TRO@rotherham.gov.uk). Copies of the Order and Order map may be bought there for the reasonable cost of photocopying.

The Order comes into force as from 10th. August 2026, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 6th. August 2026, make an application to the High Court.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Installation of new Gas Connection).
