SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF

THE U5727 DENNINGTON ROAD, BRUNDISH AND DENNINGTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

• the U5727 Dennington Road, Brundish

• the U5727 Dennington Road, Dennington.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1116, the B1118 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/08/2026 - 19/08/2026 from 8am - 5pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE U5802 HOLLOW LANE, MENDHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5802 Hollow Lane, Mendham from the junction with the B1123 for 210 metres eastbound to facilitate telecommunication pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1123, Sandpit Hill, Foxes Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 17/08/2026 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE C952 THE STREET, SOUTH ELMHAM ST JAMES

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C952 The Street, South Elmham St James from 85 metres east of Mill Lane for 93 metres eastbound to facilitate tree and vegetation cutting around power cables and the highway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, St James Road, The Common, St Margarets Road, The Street, South Elmham, Fox Hill, New Road, South Elmham, Sandpit Hill, Low Road, St James Road, Metfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/08/2026 - 18/08/2026 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8908 George Street, Hadleigh from no. 91 to Drapers Close to facilitate telecommunications pole and ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be George Street, New Cut, Angel Street, Threadneedle Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/08/2026 - 19/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE U4713 RECTORY ROAD, HEMINGSTONE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4713 Rectory Road, Hemingstone from the junction with the B1078 to the junction with Bulls Road to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rectory Road, Sandy Lane, the B1078, the A140, the A1120, Ipswich Way, Debenham Road, Gosbeck Road, Ipswich Road, the road from the U4707 to the U4729, Hemingham Road, the B1078 and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will also be a temporary suspension of the 7.5 weight restriction on the U4713 Rectory Road, Hemingstone from Sandy Lane to Bulls Road.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 17/08/2026 - 25/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Ipswich Road, the A137, Church Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 17/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

THE C460 ASHBOCKING ROAD AND THE SQUARE, HENLEY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. the C460 Ashbocking Road, Henley from the junction with Main Road to Headlands
  2. the C460 Ashbocking Road, Henley from Headlands to The Square

    • the C460 The Square, Henley.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Clay Lane, the B1078, Main Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/08/2026 - 28/09/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be The Green, Otley, Road, Cretingham, The Street, Cretingham, Swan Lane, Cretingham, Brandeston Road, Earl Soham, the A1120, the B1077, the B1079 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 17/08/2026 - 20/08/2026 from 9am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion route will be Rembrow Road to Chapel Close Footway, Chapel Close, Toll Gate Road to Chapel Close Footway, Toll Gate Road to Rembrow Road Footway, Rembrow Road and vice versa.

The diversion route will be Boulge Road, Bredfield, Scotts Lane, Bredfield, Scotts Lane, Boulge, Debach Road, Boulge, Woodbridge Road, Debach, the B1078 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/08/2026 - 19/08/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
