(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

(JOHN STREET WEST, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Northern Gas Networks, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of John Street West from its junction with Tuel Lane to Chester Street for a distance of approximately 75 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Tuel Lane, Clay Street, Chester Street, Edward Street and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 10th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 25th August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(SOWERBY CROFT LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Sowerby Croft Lane from Back Sowerby Croft to Scar Head Road/Watson Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 77 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Sowerby Croft Lane, Boggart Lane, Bank Road, Scar Head Road, Bridge Street, West Street, the unaffected part of Watson Mill Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 10th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 23rd August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(TOWNGATE, HEPTONSTALL)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Towngate from No. 50 to The White Lion for a distance of approximately 35 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Heptonstall Road, Lee Wood Road, Draper Lane, Smithwell Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 10th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 14th August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(WATSON MILL LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

The alternative route is via unaffected part of Sowerby Croft Lane, Boggart Lane, Bank Road, Scar Head Road, Bridge Street, West Street, the unaffected part of Watson Mill Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 10th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 23rd August 2026. (ROPER GREEN, MIXENDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Ward and Burke Construction Ltd, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Roper Green from Crag Lane to Roper Gardens for a distance of approximately 82 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Crag Lane, Mixenden Road, Dodgeholme Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 11th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 11th August 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:30 & 14:30.

(VICTORIA DRIVE, NORTHOWRAM)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Victoria Drive from No. 2 to No. 4 for a distance of approximately 13.5 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 11th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 12th August 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 07:00.

(COPPY NOOK LANE, HEBDEN BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by OCU Group, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Coppy Nook Lane, from its junction with Weather Hill Lane to Old House Farm for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via High Stones Road, Folly Hall Lane, unaffected part of Coppy Nook Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 18th August 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(ALEGAR STREET, BRIGHOUSE)

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of George Street, Armytage Road, Grove Street, Wakefield Road and vice versa. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to introduce traffic and parking restrictions on Bradford Road, King Street, Commercial Street, Market Street and Briggate, Brighouse.

Restriction details:

Pay and Display parking – Mon-Sat, 8am-6pm

1 hour maximum stay, no return within 1 hour

No licenced Private Hire Vehicles

It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 14th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(BRIGHOUSE TOWN CENTRE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to introduce traffic and parking restrictions on Commercial Street, Briggate, Brighouse.

Restriction details:

Loading only – All days, 8am-8pm

30 mins maximum stay, no return within 1 hour

Restriction details:

7.5t Weight Limit – vehicles exceeding 7.5t gross vehicle weight prohibited (except for permit holders)

(BRIDGE END, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Go TM intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Bridge End from Bramston Street to Bridge Road a distance of approximately 120 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Bridge End, Briggate, Owler Ings Road, Halifax Road, Ludenscheid Link, Huddersfield Road, Bradford Road, Fixby Road, Clough Lane, New Hey Road, Crow Trees Lane, Church Street, Thornhill Road, Bramston Street and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 24th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th August 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 22:00 & 06:00.

(BUTTERWORTH LANE, TRIANGLE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Butterworth Lane from Rochdale Road to Dean Lane for a distance of approximately 475 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Total Resources, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Stoney Lane/Ellen Holme Road from Styes Lane to Spring View Road for a distance of approximately 714 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Spring View Road, Jerry Fields Road, Brocks, Sowerby Lane, Acre Lane, Pinfold Lane and vice versa. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Back Spring Hall Place from Newstead Avenue for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of West Lane from its junction with Towngate to Hall Ings House for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Towngate, Law Lane, Bank Top, Southowram Bank, Bank Bottom, Berry Lane, Lower Kirkgate, Bailey Hall Road, Swan bank Lane, Siddal New Road, Whitegate Road, Oxford Road, Jubilee Road, Backhold Lane, Park Lane, Change Lane and vice versa. (IVY STREET SOUTH, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Ivy Street South from Ivy Street to rear of 26 Savile Park for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th August 2026. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Doocey Traffic Management, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Toothill Bank from Ogden Lane to Toothill Lane for a distance of approximately 300 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Ogden Lane, Church Street, Crowtrees Lane, New Hey Road, Clough Lane, Fixby Road, Bradford Road, Toothill Lane, unaffected part of Toohill Bank and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th August 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 05:00.

(NEW ROAD, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Roadway UK Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any pedestrian to proceed in the length of New Road from its junction with Church Street to 18 New Road for a distance of approximately 25 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Prescott Street, Wellington Place, New Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and re-opened on 10th May 2027. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
