BATH & NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(26-052C) (ROYAL VICTORIA PARK & ROYAL AVENUE, BATH) (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, WAITING, LOADING AND PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Bath and North East Somerset Council proposes to make an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will introduce the following variations to restrictions in the Royal Victoria Park and Royal Avenue, Bath:-

Royal Victoria Park –
• Northwest access road, removal of 3 paid parking bays (16.5m) from the western end of the paid parking bays on the northern side of the carriageway

• New Double Yellow Lines on Northwest access road to replace removed paid for bays

• Removal of all existing paid for parking bays on the eastern and northern side, from the northwest access road to the Victoria Obelisk.

• 6 Disabled parking bays to replace existing Double Yellow Lines restriction opposite the current location of the Disabled parking bays

• 1 Disabled parking bay (6.6m) to replace the existing Double Yellow Lines restriction on the southern side of the carriageway

• East side of the carriageway, south from the junction with the north west access road, new Double Yellow Lines restriction south of existing Double Yellow Lines, replacing 5.5m of paid parking bay.

• 2 Disabled parking bays (13.2m) to replace existing paid parking bays. 2m of Double Yellow Lines either side of disabled bays to replace existing paid parking bay.

• Royal Victoria Park – Existing maintenance bays to be relocated to the southern side of the carriageway to replace existing Double Yellow Lines.

• New Double Yellow Lines to replace 5.5m of existing parking bay on the western side of the carriageway.

• New Double Yellow Lines to replace 5.5m of paid parking bay to the west of the site and 11m of parking bay to the east of the site, on the southern side of the carriageway.

Royal Avenue –
• 3 new Disabled parking bays (19.8m) to replace existing paid parking bays on the north side of Royal Avenue and 2m of Double Yellow Lines either side of disabled bays to replace existing paid parking bays.
