(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland:
C291 Hartleycleugh Junction to Limestone Brae House from its junction with C294 County Boundary to Thornley Gate heading in a north westwards direction for its entire length.
C291 Limestone Brae House Junction to Spartywell Junction from its junction with C291 Hartleycleugh Junction to Limestone Brae House heading in a north westwards direction for its entire length.
C291 Spartywell Junction to Chapel Bank Junction from its junction with C291 Limestone Brae House Junction to Spartywell Junction heading in a north westwards direction for its entire length.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2026 until the 19th February 2027.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 1st September 2026 until the 18th September 2026 between the hours of 08:00 & 17:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 19th February 2027.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C291, U8035, C294 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C284 SPA WELL TO OLD RAILWAY BRIDGE
HAYDON BRIDGE
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C284 Spa Well to Old Railway Bridge from its junction with A69 Haydon Bridge to Hexham heading in a south eastwards direction for a distance of 180 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2026 until the 5th September 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2026 until the 2nd September 2026 between the hours of 09:00 & 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 5th September 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via A69, A686, B6295, B6305, B6531 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
U7049 WILLIA ROAD HALTWHISTLE
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U7049 Willia Road Haltwhistle from its point with front of Ash Tree heading in a north westwards direction for a distance of 45 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 19th August 2026 until the 21st August 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 19th August 2026 until the 20th August 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st August 2026.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8284 Moor Grange Prudhoe from its junction with U8284 Moor Grange Moor Road footway heading in a south easterly direction for a distance of 230 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 24th August 2026 until the 12th February 2027.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 24th August 2026 until the 11th September 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th February 2027.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8285 Prudhoe to District Boundary from its junction with Prudhoe Hospital Drive heading in a southerly direction for a distance of 370 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 24th August 2026 until the 12th February 2027.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 24th August 2026 until the 11th September 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 12th February 2027.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Hexham in the County of Northumberland:
B6306 Eastgate from its junction with U8293 Gibson Fields heading in a southwards direction for a distance of 110 metres.
C282 Dipton Mill Road from its junction with B6306 Eastgate heading in a southwards direction for a distance of 90 metres.
B6306 Gallows Bank from its junction with B6306 Eastgate heading in a south eastwards direction for its entire length.
The Order is to be effective from the 10th August 2026 until the 29th January 2027.
It is expected the roads will only be closed from the 10th August 2026 until the 30th August 2026 between the hours of 08:30 and 16:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 29th January 2027.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6306, B6305, A695, B6307, U8296, C278, C282 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

PRUDHOE MINERS RACE 2026
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has on the 29 July 2026 made the Northumberland County Council Prudhoe Miners Race 2026 Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026 (“the TTRO”).
The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Prudhoe Miners Race 2026 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the U8280 Broomhouse Road from its junction with the entrance to Kimberley football ground in a westerly direction for a length of 270 metres, the U8280 Broomhouse Lane for its entire length, the U8280 Castlefields Drive from its junction with the A695 Prudhoe bypass in a south-westerly direction for a length of 575 Metres, the A695 Princess Way from its junction with the A695 Prudhoe bypass in a westerly direction for a length of 1,450 metres and the U8280 Regents Drive for its entire length (“the Road”).
The TTRO shall come into force at 08:30 hours on 30 August 2026 and will remain in force until 10:30 hours on 30 August 2026, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the B6395, the C255 and vice versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.
Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:
a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;
b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, any police officer or a duly Authorised Officer of the Council.
c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;
d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or
e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.
