TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
7,777 Fun Run, Various Roads, Cranbrook, TN17 2HF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow the 7,777 fun run to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Various Roads, Cranbrook, on or after 29th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the event has been completed.
The roads will be closed between the hours of 10:30 and 12:30 only, as per the below schedule:
A229 Hartley Road/A229 Angley Road, Cranbrook, will be closed from the junction with B2085 Glassenbury Road to the junction with Waterloo Road.
Waterloo Road, Cranbrook, will be closed in its entirety.
Stone Street, Cranbrook, will be closed in its entirety.
High Street, Cranbrook, will be closed in its entirety.
Wheatfield Way, Cranbrook, will be closed in its entirety.
Oatfield Drive, Cranbrook will be closed from the junction with Wheatfield Way to the junction with A229 Angley Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2085 Glassenbury Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound Roundabout, A229 Wilsley Green and vice versa.
A262 Cranbrook Road, Goudhurst, TN17 1DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A262 Cranbrook Road, Goudhurst, on or after 28th August 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Oak Cottage to Old School House, between the hours of 19:30 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow two telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council had made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2079 Winchet Hill, Goudhurst, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from its split with A229 The Common to the crossroads with Frittenden Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Common Road, A229 The Common, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 The Street, Common Road and vice versa.
Culverden Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1ET (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Culverden Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 11th August 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A26 Mount Ephraim, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic, suspend one way, & prohibit parking on parts of Various Roads, Rusthall & Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 24th August 2026 for up to 106 days or until the works have been completed as follows:
Grange Road, Rusthall will be closed in 3 phases from in the vicinity of property number 58 to the junction of Woodside Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. Parking will be prohibited for the full length of the works on both sides of the carriageway.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grange Road, Bretland Road, Rusthall Road, Apsley Street, Woodside Road, Grange Road and vice versa.
Harmony Street, Rusthall will be closed in 2 phases from the junction with Upper Street to the junction with Rusthall Road. Parking will be prohibited for the full length of the works on both sides of the carriageway. The one way order on Harmony Street will be temporarily suspended to allow for diversion.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Harmony Street, Woodside Road, Apsley Street, Rusthall Road, Harmony Street & vice versa.
Rusthall Road, Rusthall will be closed in phases from the junction with A264 Langton Road to in the vicinity of property number 7a Rusthall Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A264 Langton Road, Coach Road, Rusthall Road & vice versa.
Bretland Road, Rusthall will be closed from the junction with Rusthall Road to in the vicinity of property number 6.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bretland Road, Cranwell Road, Lower Green Road, Coach Road, Lower Green Road, A264 Langton Road, Rusthall Road, Bretland Road and vice versa.
Boyne Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells will be closed in 3 phases from the junction with A256 Mount Ephraim to the junction with Oakdale Road. Parking will be prohibited for the full length of the works on both sides of the carriageway.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Mount Ephraim, Molyneux Park Road, Oakdale Road, Boyne Park and vice versa.
