TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From: MONDAY, 10th AUGUST 2026 To: FRIDAY, 4th SEPTEMBER 2026 No persons shall proceed on the sections of the affected paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of paths.
FOOTPATH NO. 4, TALATON from a point to the north of Rose Cottage, eastwards to the River Tale.
FOOTPATH NO. 5, OTTERY ST MARY from Black Aller Covert westwards to the River Tale.
FOOTPATH NO. 6, OTTERY ST MARY from its junction with Footpath No. 7, Ottery St Mary southwards to a point immediately to the north of the A30.
FOOTPATH NO. 7, OTTERY ST MARY from Middle Lodge to its junction with Footpath No. 86, Ottery St Mary. There is no alternative route for Footpath No. 4, Talaton.
The alternative route for the other paths above would be via Footpath No. 86, Ottery St. Mary that runs through Black Aller Covert.
The closure is necessary to enable safe set up and break down of the Beautiful Days 2026 music festival.

FOOTPATH NO.4, TALATON and FOOTPATH NOS. 5, 6, 7, 85 and 86, OTTERY ST MARY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (SPECIAL EVENTS) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order the effect of which is to prohibit persons from using the following public rights of way: FOOTPATH NO.4, TALATON, FOOTPATH NO. 5, OTTERY ST MARY, FOOTPATH NO. 6, OTTERY ST MARY, FOOTPATH NO. 7, OTTERY ST MARY, FOOTPATH NO. 85, OTTERY ST MARY from its junction with Footpath No. 5 near Iron Gate Lodge to the first field boundary and FOOTPATH NO. 86, OTTERY ST MARY.
The order will come into effect on MONDAY, 10th AUGUST 2026 and will remain in force until FRIDAY, 4th SEPTEMBER 2026 (both dates inclusive) as agreed with the Secretary of State for Transport.
The closure is necessary to facilitate the holding of the Beautiful Days 2026 music festival and covers the time that staff and attendees will be on site.
