ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(BOSTOCK AVENUE, NORTHAMPTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Bostock Avenue, Northampton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Bostock Avenue, Northampton from Billington Street to Wellingborough Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during telecom pole replacement works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th August 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Billington Street, Stimpson Avenue and Wellingborough Road.

(EASTERN AVENUE SOUTH, NORTHAMPTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Eastern Avenue South, Northampton as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Eastern Avenue South, Northampton from Kingsthorpe Grove to Queensland Garden.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway repairs.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 13th August 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to 2 days.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Wappenham Road, Helmdon as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Wappenham Road, Helmdon from outside no.31 Wappenham Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during replacement of telecom pole.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 6th August 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 1 day.

(VARIOUS ROADS, BOUGHTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of the various roads in Boughton as specified in the Schedule below.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during traffic calming works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 10th August 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the roads will be restricted until 21st August 2026.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Main Road, Farthinghoe as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Main Road, Farthinghoe from New Road to Chapel Lane.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during drainage improvement works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 7th August 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
