Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, TN13 1HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of an electrical connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 High Street, Sevenoaks, on or after 26th August 2026 for up to 1 night between 20.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Sevenoaks School.
The alternative route is via A225 Tonbridge Road, A225 Riverhill, Weald Interchange, A21 Sevenoaks ByPass, A25 Westerham Road, A25 Worships Hill, A25 The Square, A224 Amherst Hill, A224 London Road and vice versa.
B2211 Sundridge Road, Dunton Green, TN14 6HB (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow UK Power Networks works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30MPH speed limit on through traffic on B2211 Sundridge Road, Dunton Green. The current 60MPH speed limit will be suspended for the duration of these works.
Works are planned from 24th August 2026, with estimated completion by 28th August 2026.
B2211 Sundridge Road will have a mandatory 30MPH speed limit. The current speed limit be suspended between Chevening Road and Star Hill Road, for the duration of these works.
Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 1YE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of a new electric service, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 43.
The alternative route is via Granville Road, Gordon Road, Argyle Road and vice versa.
Beechenlea Lane, Swanley, BR8 7PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of a streetlight column, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beechenlea Lane, Swanley, on or after 13th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Beechenlea House to Dene Hill.
The alternative route is via Beechenlea Lane, B2173 London Road, B258 High Street, B258 Swanley Lane, Highlands Hill, Swanley Village Road and vice versa.
Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, TN15 6XD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the laying of approx. 680M of new water main, connection and transfer services, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cotmans Ash Lane, Kemsing, on or after 24th August 2026 to 18th October 2026 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Clarkes Green Road to Ashdown Bungalow.
The alternative route is via Clarkes Green Lane, Birchin Cross Road, Row Dow, Pilgrims Way, Childsbridge Lane, West End, High Street, Heaverham Road and vice versa.
Farley Lane, Westerham, TN16 1RQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Farley Lane, Westerham, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs ad 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between A25 Westerham Road and the entrance to New Winterton.
The alternative route is via Farley Lane, B2024 Croydon Road, A25 High Street/Westerham Road and vice versa.
Fullers Hill, Westerham, TN16 1EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Thames Water Utilities works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fullers Hill, Westerham, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to 1 Duncans Cottages.
There is no alternative route but access will be maintained when safe to do so.
High Street, Otford, TN14 5PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the installation of a new electricity and water supply for a customer, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Otford, on or after 24th August 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 92.
The alternative route is via A225 Sevenoaks/Otford Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road/Maidstone Road, A224 London Road, Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.
Lower Road, Hextable, BR8 7QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of an electrical service upgrade of a customer supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Road, Hextable, on or after 28th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed adjacent to 14 Home Hill.
The alternative route is via Lower Road, Goss Hill, B258 Barn End Lane, B258 Top Dartford Road, Home Hill and vice versa.
New Barn Road, Swanley (PROHIBITION OF EASTBOUND TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because a concert is being held in Swanley Park, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting eastbound traffic on New Barn Road, Swanley, on or after 28 August 2026 for up to 1 evening between 16.00hrs and 21.30hrs.
The alternative route is via College Road, B238 Main Road/Swanley Lane.
Ovenden Road, Sundridge, TN14 6AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ovenden Road, Sundridge, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Pilgrims Way and Combe Bank Drive.
The alternative route is via Ovenden Road, Pilgrims Way, Brasted Hill Road, Rectory Lane, A25 High Street/Main Road, B2211 Chevening Road and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Westerham, TN16 2DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the replacement of one existing telegraph pole and rehang associated cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Westerham, on or after 25th August 2026 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 16.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Betsoms Farm.
The alternative route is via A223 London Road, A25 Market Square, A25 High Street, B2024 Croydon Road, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.
