Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

A20 Ashford Road, Broomfield (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow temporary two way lights to be implemented in conjunction with works on Broomfield Road, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30 MPH speed limit on part of A20 Ashford Road, Broomfield, on or after 24th August 2026 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will have a temporary mandatory 30 MPH speed limit imposed. The current 60 MPH speed limit will be suspended in the vicinity of Broomfield Road for the duration of these works. Restrictions will be imposed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A229 Staplehurst Road, Marden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow service cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Staplehurst Road, Marden, on or after 30th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Monk Lakes. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2010 Yalding Hill, Yalding, on or after 29th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 3 Mount Villa. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Avery Lane, Langley, ME15 8RZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow stopcock repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Avery Lane, Langley, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Holcott House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Avery Lane, Back Street, Caring Road, Green Hill, Otham Street, Simmonds Lane, Honey Lane, Avery Lane and vice versa.

Brishing Road, Chart Sutton, ME17 3SW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brishing Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 14th August 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 40 metres North of the drive leading to property named Pleasant Acres. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brishing Road, B2163 Heath Road, Brishing Lane, Brishing Road and vice versa.

Broomfield Road, Broomfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broomfield Road, Broomfield, on or after 24th August 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A20 Ashford Road to outside number 1 Broomfield Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, Chegworth Road, Lenham Road, Gravelly Bottom Road, Broomfield Road, Upper Street, Lower Street, Broomfield Road and vice versa.

Broomfield Road, Kingswood, ME17 3PD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow heavy jet and CCTV works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Broomfield Road, Kingswood, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of properties named Medusa and Twin Oaks, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Broomfield Road, Gravelly Bottom Road, Lenham Road, Chegworth Road, A20 Ashford Road, Broomfield Road, Lower Street, Upper Street, Broomfield Road and vice versa.

Buckland Hill, Maidstone, ME16 0SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage jetting from the railway bridge to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buckland Hill, Maidstone, on or after 16th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20 metres either side of railway bridge PWS2/944, between the hours of 06:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Buckland Hill, Buckland Road, St Peters Street and vice versa.

Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, ME17 3HZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chartway Street, Sutton Valence, on or after 13th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Pines. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chartway Street, Charlton Lane, East Sutton Hill, East Sutton Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, Chartway Street and vice versa.

Claygate Road, Laddingford, ME18 6BJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Claygate Road, Laddingford, on or after 26th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Barncroft. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Claygate Road, Jarmons Lane, B2162 Benover Road, Lees Road, Laddingford, Claygate Road and vice versa.

Dunn Street Road, Bredhurst, ME7 3JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow defect works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dunn Street Road, Bredhurst, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ivy Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dunn Street Road, Chapel Lane, Forge Lane, Lidsing Road, Dunn Street, Dunn Street Road and vice versa.

East Street, Hunton, ME15 0RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre utility asset works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Street, Hunton, on or after 12th August 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via East Street, Hunton Road, Green Lane, Underlyn Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, Upper Hunton Hill, Hunton Hill and vice versa.

George Street, Staplehurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of George Street, Staplehurst, on or after 13th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 60 metres East from property named The Grange. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via George Street, Clapper Lane, A229 Maidstone Road and vice versa.

Lucks Lane, Chart Sutton (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lucks Lane, Chart Sutton, on or after 14th August 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 115 metres East of the junction with Forge Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lucks Lane, Chart Hill Road, Forge Lane and vice versa.

Milton Street, Maidstone, ME16 8FH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Milton Street, Maidstone, on or after 11th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Pope Street and the junction with Bazalgette Rise. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pope Street, Upper Fant Road, Hackney Road, Hartnup Street, Bazalgette Rise and vice versa.

Morry Lane, Kingswood (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Morry Lane, Kingswood, on or after 13th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 340 metres North of the entrance to Morry Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Morry Lane, Chartway Street, Charlton Lane, East Sutton Hill, Brick Kiln Lane, Morry Lane and vice versa.

Old Loose Hill, Loose, ME15 0BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Loose Hill, Loose, on or after 25th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between property named Brookvale and The Chequers Inn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Old Loose Hill, A229 Linton Road, Old Loose Hill and vice versa.

Park Road, Marden, TN12 9PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Road, Marden, on or after 11th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 30 metres South of the entrance to Mountain Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Park Road, Battle Lane, Howland Road, Copper Lane, Thorn Road, Marden Thorn, Park Road and vice versa.

Pattenden Lane, Marden, TN12 9QT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pattenden Lane, Marden, on or after 11th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the English National Ballet. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pattenden Lane, Underlyn Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, B2079 High Street, B2079 Church Green, Pattenden Lane and vice versa.

South Street, Barming, ME15 0LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow bridge examination works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Street, Barming, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20 metres either side of railway bridge PWS1/958, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.

Stockett Lane, Tovil, ME15 0HY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stockett Lane, Tovil, on or after 25th August 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Bockingford Lane, for a distance approximately 565 metres in a South direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stockett Lane, B2163 Heath Road, Dean Street, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, Straw Mill Hill, Stockett Lane and vice versa.

Tattlebury Lane, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tattlebury Lane, Headcorn, on or after 13th August 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from 20 metres West of junction with Tilden Road to 184 metres West of junction with Tilden Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tattlebury Lane, Ulcombe Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, Tattlebury Lane and vice versa.

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vinters Road, Maidstone, on or after 14th August 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Bishops Lane to the junction with East Street/Hunton Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Wierton Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
