(Parsonage Street, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Parsonage Street, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 15m north east of its junction with Courtauld Close for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD0316660963/FH – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on site.
The roadwork. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).
Alternative routes are available via:
- Kings Road, A131, A1124 (with access only into Parsonage Street and Mallows Field).
- A1124, A131, Kings Road, Factory Lane West (with access only into Parsonage Street and Mallows Field).
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Stambourne Road, Great Yeldham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stambourne Road, Great Yeldham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 815m north west of its junction with Ridgewell Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WGHLJ57K – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Stambourne Road, A1017, Rectory Road, Prayers Hill, Wethersfield Road, Hedingham Road, Hudsons Hill, High Street, B1053, B1057, Howe Street, Upper Howe Street, Finchingfield Road, Robinhood End, Finchingfield Road – Howe Street To Dyer's End – Zc161, Robinhood End, Finchingfield Road, Dyers End, Great Yeldham Road, Stambourne Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(White Horse Avenue, Halstead Urban) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of White Horse Avenue, Halstead Urban in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 70m north west of its junction with Three Gates Close for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03165189592 – Anglian Water Business (National) Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National) Limited.
An alternative route is available via Three Gates Close, Oak Road, Mount Hill and vice versa (with access only into White Horse Avenue).
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
