NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brockholes Lane, Brockholes from its junction with Ridings Fields to a point outside property no. 100 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Brockholes Lane, Moor Lane, Farnley Road, Storthes Hall Lane, Penistone Road, Thunder Bridge Lane, Birks Lane, Stocks Moor Road, Town Moor Lane, The Village, Thurstonland Bank Road, New Mill Road.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lightenfield Lane, Netherton from its junction with Corn Bank/Lightenfield Lane to its junction with Lightenfield Lane (leading to Hill Top Croft) PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Calmlands Road, Meltham from a point outside property no. 71 to a point outside property no. 73 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of George Street, Lindley, Huddersfield from a point outside property no. 29 to a point outside property no. 27 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Halifax Old Road/ Grimescar Road, Birkby/Fixby from its junction with Halifax Old Road to its junction with Brighouse Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

(WOOD LANE, COLNEBRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wood Lane, Colnebridge from a point adjacent Railbridge 5 to a point outside property no. 12 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Woodlands Avenue/ Luke Lane, Thongsbridge from its junction with Woodlands Avenue/Luke Lane to a point outside property no. 14 Woodlands Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Thorncliffe Lane, Emley from its junction with Cross Lane to its junction with Rodley Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Meltham as follows:-

Station Street - from its junction with Mean Lane to its junction with Huddersfield Road

Holmfirth Road - from its junction with Huddersfield Road to its junction with Tinker Lane

Wessenden Head Road - from its junction with Holmfirth Road to its junction with A635 Greenfield Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-

Wessenden Head Road - via B6107 Holmfirth Road, B6107 Coach Road, B6107 Thick Hollins Road, A635 Greenfield Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Sunday, 9 August 2026 and remain in force until 23 August 2026 as follows:-

Station Street/Holmfirth Road - Sundays 9, 16, 23 August 2026 between17:00 hours to Midnight
Wessenden Head Road - Monday to Fridays commencing 10 August 2026 to 21 August 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours

(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CUMBERWORTH ROAD/PONKER LANE, SKELMANTHORPE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Skelmanthorpe as follows:-

Road Closure
Cumberworth Road/Ponker Lane - from Huddersfield Road to Shelley Woodhouse Lane

Point Closures
The following roads at their junction with Cumberworth Road/Ponker Lane:- Jacquard Road, Dene Road, Bedale Close, Westfield Avenue, Bedale Avenue, Heather Fold, Gardeners Walk, Lidgett Lane, Radcliffe Street

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 10 August 2026 and remain in force until 21 August 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(GATE HEAD, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Gate Head, Marsden from a point outside property no. 47 to its termination point PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Dam Hill - completed

Birks Lane – from its junction with Thunder Bridge Lane to its junction with Station Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-

Birks Lane - via Stocksmoor Lane, Brown’s Knoll Road, Town Moor, The Village, Thurstonland Bank Road, New Mill Road, Huddersfield Road, Penistone Road, Holmfirth Road, Lane Head Road, Abbey Road South, Abbey Road North, Abbey Road, Penistone Road, Dam Hill Road and vice versa.

The closure commenced on Monday, 23 February 2026 and remain in force until 31 July 2026 in two phases has been further extended to remain in force until 30 September 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
