What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (DOUGLAS STREET PASSAGEWAY) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.

The Order will introduce a closure of the passageway at the rear of 21 to 45 Douglas Street and rear of 39 to 57 Wellington Street West, Salford, M7 2FE. The Order is necessary for emergency sewer repairs.

The order is due to come into operation on Monday 24th August 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Saturday 29th August 2026. The diversion routes are via St Johns Street - Douglas Street - Scovell Street, vice versa.
