HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN
LUFFENHALL, ARDELEY, COTTERED AND CROMER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of Roads, except for access:-

a) that length of C14 (unnamed road), Luffenhall from its junction with B1037 White Hill north westwards to its junction with 3U1951 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 468m.

An alternative route will be via B1037 White Hill, The Heath, Newell Lane, 5U36 (unnamed road) and 3U1951 (unnamed road).

b) that length of 3U1951 (unnamed road)/5U36 (unnamed road) and Harveys Hill Lane, Luffenhall from its junction with C14 (unnamed road) north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 1124m.

An alternative route will be via C14 (unnamed road), B1037 White Hill, The Heath and Newell Lane.

c) that length of C14 (unnamed road), Ardeley from its junction with B1037 White Hill south eastwards a distance of approximately 747m.

An alternative route will be via B1037 (White Hill/unnamed road), 3U60 (unnamed road), 3U52 (unnamed road) and C14 (unnamed road).

d) that length of B1037 (unnamed road), Cottered/B1037 White Hill, Cromer from its junction with Mill Lane south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with C14 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 1152m.

An alternative route will be via B1037 (unnamed road), A507 (Baldock Road/unnamed road/ Clothall Road), B656 Whitehorse Street, B197 (High Street/London Road), A507 Baldock Bypass, B197 (Jacks Hill/Graveley Road/High Street), A602 Hitchin Road, A1072 Martins Way, A1155 Verity Way and B1037 (Stevenage Road/High Street/White Hill).

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of B1037 White Hill, Cromer from its junction with C14 (unnamed road) north eastwards for a distance of approximately 94m, when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing water mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 8 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREAT AMWELL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.018) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Great Amwell Public Footpath No.018 from its junction with Cautherly Lane south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 327m (“the Public Footpath”).

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Public Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHAPEL LANE, LETTY GREEN) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chapel Lane, Letty Green from a point in line with the western boundary of No.30 Chapel Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 84m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Chapel Lane, Woolmers Lane, Station Road, Cole Green,

The Old Coach Road, Birch Green, 3U185 (unnamed road) and Chapel Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 25 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KETTLE GREEN LANE, MUCH HADHAM) ORDER NO.3 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kettle Green Lane, Much Hadham from its junction with B1004 Tower Hill north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Much Hadham Restricted Byway No.048, a distance of approximately 695m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B1004 (Tower Hill/High Street), C15 (unnamed road), Bromley Lane, Hadham Road, High Street, A120 (Kents Lane/Standon Hill), Ermine Street, Gore Lane, C39 (unnamed road) and Kettle Green Lane.

The Order is needed because utility works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 27 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON HOLLYCROSS ROAD, WARE/STANSTEAD ABBOTTS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hollycross Road, Ware/Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with B1004 Widbury Hill south eastwards to its junction with Cappell Lane, a distance of approximately 2213m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B1004 (Widbury Hill/Ware Road), B180 (Hunsdon Road/ Widford Road/High Street/Stanstead Road/Hunsdon Road), B181 Roydon Road and Cappell Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 12 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 6 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GARLAND ROAD AND CROSS STREET, WARE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Garland Road, Ware from its junction with Vicarage Road north eastwards fora distance of approximately 20m.

An alternative route will be via Vicarage Road, Jeffries Road, Musley Lane and Garland Lane.

2. that length of Cross Street, Ware from its junction with Vicarage Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 20m.

An alternative route will be via Vicarage Road, B1004 Star Street and Cross Street.

The Order is needed because the replacment of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 10 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 21 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON B176 (CROSSBROOK STREET/TURNERS HILL), CHESHUNT) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B176 (Crossbrook Street/Turners Hill), Cheshunt from its junction with Theobalds Lane north westwards and northwards to its junction with King Arthur Court, a distance of approximately 768m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B176 (Crossbrook Street/High Street), A121 Winston Churchill Way, A10 Great Cambridge Road, B198 College Road and B176 Turners Hill. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 10 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1038 Pump Hill, Brent Pelham from a point 50m south east of its junction with A1038 Conduit Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B1038 (Pump Hill/Conduit Lane/(unnamed road), B1368 (unnamed road/Biggin Hill/London Road/High Street/Cambridge Road/London Road/ High Street), B1039 (Picknage Road/Chishill Road/Barley Road/Hall Lane/unnamed road/ Royston Road/Station Road), B1383 (Mutlow Hill/London Road/Cambridge Road/ Belmont Hill) and B1038 (Wicken Road/Clatterbury Lane/High Street/Pelham Road/ unnamed road/ Pump Hill).

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 11 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Street, Furneux Pelham from a point 330m south west of its junction with The Wash south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via The Street, The Wash, Ginns Road, C15 (unnamed road), B1038 (Pump Hill/Conduit Lane/unnamed road), B1368 (unnamed road), Worsted Street and The Street.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN EASTWICK AND GREAT AMSWELL) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and bus/cycle lane (“the Bus/Cycle Lane”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from A414 Eastwick Road into Cat Lane, Eastwick, whilst works are in progress.

An alternative route will be via A414 Eastwick Road.

2. To temporarily suspend the existing bus/cycle lane on the east side of A1170 Pepper Hill, Great Amwell from a point 250m north of its junction with the B181 Station Road/B1502 Stanstead Road roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 224m, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because central stort crossing works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road and Bus/Cycle Lane.

The Order will come into effect from 10 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road and Bus/Cycle Lane

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON A121 ELEANOR CROSS ROAD, WALTHAM CROSS) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A121 Eleanor Cross Road, Waltham Cross from a point 140m south east of its junction with the A121 Monarchs Way/ Queens Road roundabout eastwards for a distance of approximately 316m (“the Road”), when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because gas disconnection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 10 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the A10 westbound slip road leading onto College Road, Cheshunt from its junction with the northbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road north westwards to its junction with the westbound carriageway of College Road (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A10 Great Cambridge Road, Church Lane, B156 Churchgate Road, Churchgate Road and College Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 13 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
