What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DARTFORD AREA
Brent Lane, Dartford, DA1 1YS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of sewer repair works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brent Lane, Dartford, on or after 28th August 2026 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed. The one way will be suspended to allow access.
The road will be closed between numbers 99 and 107.
The alternative route is via A226 Park Road/East Hill, York Road, Brent Lane and vice versa.
Clement Street, Swanley, BR8 7PF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Clement Street, Swanley, on or after 25th August 2026 for up to 1 day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length.
The alternative route is via Clement Street, Goss Hill, B258 Barn End Lane/High Road/Church Hill, A225 Hawley Road/Main Road, Arnolds Lane and vice versa.
Oakfield Lane, Dartford, DA1 2JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
Because of the installation of new Gas, Electric and Water supplies for new development, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oakfield Lane, Dartford, on or after 10th August 2026 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside North Kent College.
The alternative route is via Oakfield Lane, Heath Lane Upper, B2174 Princes Road, A225 Lowfield Street/Hawley Road and vice versa.
