The GLA Roads And GLA Side Roads (Enfield) Red Route Consolidation Traffic Order 2008 A406 Sterling Way Variation Order 2026

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 30th July 2026 it made the above-named Order, under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 6th August 2026.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to introduce a 15 metre Loading/Unloading and Disabled Persons' Vehicles Bay outside Nos 18 to 26 Sterling Way, operating No Stopping Mon - Sat from 8am to 7pm except loading for a maximum of 20 minutes or disabled persons vehicles for a maximum of 3 hours.

   The double red line restriction (no stopping at any time) at the eastern end will be adjusted to accommodate the change.

3. The road which would be affected by the Order is the A406 Main Road – Sterling Way in the London Borough of Enfield.

4. A copy of the Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/road-and-selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during office hours at the address below. 5. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
