Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Flaxland                                                                                                 Ref: 27-175

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the roads detailed in the schedule below.

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/08/2026 and will continue until the gas main replacement works have been completed or until the 09/02/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 10/08/2026 and 11/10/2026.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Star Road                                                                                              Ref: 27-171

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Star Road, outside 66. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Star Road, Padholme Road, Eastfield Road, St Johns Road, Vineyard Road, Bishops Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 09/08/2026 and will continue until the water main remedial works have been completed or until the 08/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place on 09/08/2026 only.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Manor Road, Sutton                                                                           Ref: 27-154

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Manor Road, Sutton, outside Manor Farm. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Graeme Road, Nene Way and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 11/08/2026 and will continue until the stop tap replacement works have been completed or until the 10/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 11/08/2026 and the 13/08/2026.

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Occupation Road                                                                                Ref: 27-092

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Occupation Road, as lies between Clarence Road and Bourges Boulevard. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Clarence Road, Searjeant Street and Bourges Boulevard. The proposed order will come into force on the 11/08/2026 and will continue until the chamber access works have been completed or until the 10/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place on the 11/08/2026 between 08:00 and 16:00.

The proposed order will come into force on the 17/08/2026 and will continue until the new gas connection works have been completed or until the 16/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 17/08/2026 and 28/08/2026.

Eastfield Road                                                                                      Ref: 27-174

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Eastfield Road, as lies between Gildenburgh Avenue and Reeves Way. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Eastfield Road, Boongate, Frank Perkins Parkway, Oxney Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 19/08/2026 and will continue until the installation of pedestrian crossing works have been completed or until the 18/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 19/08/2026 and the 21/08/2026.

The Drive                                                                                              Ref: 27-157

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as The Drive, as lies between Fairmead Way and a point 20m south. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Thorpe Road, Thorpe Lea Road, Vermont Grove and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 17/08/2026 and will continue until the duct works have been completed or until the 16/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 09:30 and 15:30 from the 17/08/2026 to the 19/08/2026.

Maxey Road, Helpston                                                                      Ref: 27-176

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Maxey Road, Helpston as lies between points 20 metres either side of Maxey Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via B1443 Glinton Rd, Helpston Rd, A15, Maxey Rd, High St and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 15/08/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 14/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight only between 2300 on 15/08/2026 and 0900 on 16/08/2026.

The proposed order will come into force on the 17/08/2026 and will continue until the duct installation works have been completed or until the 16/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 17/08/2026 and the 21/08/2026.

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Mayors Walk, Grange Road, Westfield Road, Bourges Boulevard and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 20/08/2026 and will continue until the frame and cover repair works have been completed or until the 19/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight only, 1900-0200, between the 20/08/2026 and the 24/08/2026.

The proposed order will come into force on the 17/08/2026 and will continue until the surfacing works have been completed or until the 16/08/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 17/08/2026 and 02/03/2027.

The Council of the City of Peterborough gives notice pursuant to section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough, Castor Road, Marholm, Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
(Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic), Notice 27-132 2026 Ref: 27-132

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Castor Road, Marholm, as lies between Stamford Lodge Road and the junction of Stamford Road/Walton Road. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Castor Road, Walton Road, Mowbray Road, Bretton Way, A47, Peterborough Road (Castor), Marholm Road and vice versa. This notice is made in the interest of cut and patch works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 10/08/2026. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
