What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(ASPINALL STREET, HEYWOOD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Aspinall Street from its junction with Mutual Street in a southerly direction direction for a distance of 353 metres to its junction with Adelaide Street.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Aspinall Street from its junction with Mutual Street in a southerly direction direction for a distance of 353 metres to its junction with Adelaide Street.

The Order is required to facilitate the safe installation of traffic calming within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 07:30 on the 10th August 2026 until 17:00 on the 16th August 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Aspinall Street, York Street, Queens Park Road, Starkey Street, Miller Street, & vice versa.

(BIRTLE ROAD, HEYWOOD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to; (i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Birtle Road from its junction with Gristlehurst Lane in a southerley direction for a distance of 95 metres.

The Order is required to facilitate gas works within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 10:00 to 16:00 daily from the 24th August 2026 until 28th August 2026. Due to the nature of the closure there will be no alternative route
