What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY THE BROMLEY (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2003 (AMENDMENT NO. 262) ORDER 2026 (VARIOUS LOCATIONS) T824

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley on 28th July 2026 made the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers. The Order will come Into operation on 10th August 2026. The effect of the Order would be to:

(a) introduce/extend 'at any time' waiting restrictions as set out in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

(b) convert existing Monday to Saturday waiting restrictions operating between 8.30am and 6.30pm to No Waiting 'at any time' restrictions as set out in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

(c) convert existing Monday to Friday waiting restrictions operating between 11am and 12pm to No Waiting 'at any time' restrictions as set out in the Schedule 3 to this Notice.

Copies of the Order may be Inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Bromley Council, Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley BR1 1 AS, or by emailing TrafflcManagementOrders@Bromley.gov.uk until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date of the making the Order.

ANY person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that any requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. SCHEDULE 1: -WAITING RESTRICTIONS: No Waiting - 'at any time': -

BRABOURNE RISE, BECKENHAM (a) north side (i) from a point 10 metres northwards on Wickham Way at its junction with Brabourne Rise to a point 10 metres eastwards on Brabourne Rise, (b) south side (i) from a point 11.2 metres southwards on Wickham Way at its junction with Brabourne Rise to a point 16 metres eastwards on Brabourne Rise DAWSON AVENUE, ORPINGTON (a) (i) west side, from a point 10 metres west of the western kerbline on Broomwood Road at its junction with Dawson Avenue to a point 10 metres northwards on Dawson Avenue, (ii) east side, from a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerbline on Broomwood Road at its junction with Dawson Avenue to a point 10 metres northwards on Dawson Avenue

CASTLECOMBE ROAD, MOTTINGHAM (a) north side (i) from the junction of St Keverne Road to a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 134 and 136 (b) south side(i) from its junction with St Keverne Road to a point 10 metres west of that junction. CATTISTOCK ROAD, MOTTINGHAM (a) both side(i) from its junction with St Keverne Road to a point 10 metre south of that junction.

DAWSON AVENUE, OPRINGTON (a) both side(i) from its junction with Broomwood Road to a point 10 metres north of that junction.

GREENWAY, CHISLEHURST (a) southeast side (i) from a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 36 and 38 to a point 10 metres northeast of the northeastern kerb line of Hill Close. HILL CLOSE, CHISLEHURST(northwest to south east) (a) both sides (i) from its junction with Greenway to a point 10 metres southeast of that junction (b) southeast side (i) from a point 7.9 metres northwest of the northwestern kerb line of Hill Close (southwest to northeast) to a point 10 metres southeast of the southeastern kerb line of Hill Close (southwest to northeast).

HILL CLOSE, CHISLEHURST (southwest to northeast) (a) both sides (i) from its junction Hill Close (northwest to southeast) to a point 10 metres southeast of that junction LONGBURY DRIVE, ORPINGTON (a) east (i) from a point 10 metres north of the northern kerb line of Wateringbury Close to a point 10 metres south of the southern kerb line of Wateringbury Close.

MELROSE ROAD, BIGGIN HILL (a) north (i) from its junction with Sunningvale Avenue Broomwood Road to a point 10 metres east of that junction (b) south (i) from its junction with Sunningvale Avenue to a point 11.2m east of that junction.

POLESTEEPLE HILL, BIGGIN HILL (a) west (i) from a point 10 metres north of northern kerb line of Polesteeple Hill to a point 10 metres south of the southern kerb line of Polesteeple Hill. RAMSDEN ROAD, ORPINGTON (a) north (i) from a point 10 metres west of the western kerb line of Ramsden Road Slip Road (Nos. 29 to 49 Ramsden Road) to a point 12.2m east of the eastern kerb line of the Ramsden Road Slip Road.

RAMSDEN ROAD SLIP ROAD (Nos. 29 to 49 Ramsden Road), ORPINGTON (a) both (i)

from its junction with Ramsden Road to a point 11 metres north of that junction.

ST KEVERNE ROAD, MOTTINGHAM (a) southwest from a point opposite the common boundary

of Nos. 85 and 87 to a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Cattistock Road.

SUNNINGVALE AVENUE, BIGGIN HILL (a) west side(i) from a point 10 metres north of the

northern kerb line of Melrose Avenue to a point 10 metres south of the southern kerb line

of Melrose Avenue (b) north side (i) from the junction of Polesteeple Hill to a point opposite

the flank wall of Nos. 177 to 185 (c) south side (i) from the junction of Polesteeple Hill to a

point 1.7metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 176 and 178.

WATERINGBURY CLOSE, ORPINGTON (a) both side (i) from its junction with Longbury

Drive to a point 9.4 metres southeast of that junction.

WICKHAM WAY, BECKENHAM (a) east side (i) from a point 10 metres north of the northern kerb line of Brabourne Rise, to a point 11.2 metres south of the southern kerb line of Brabourne Rise. SCHEDULE 2:-WAITING RESTRICTIONS:

Convert existing Monday to Saturday operating between 8.30am and 8.30pm to No Waiting 'at any time': -

HENVILLE ROAD, BROMLEY (a) both side (i) from the junction of Upper Park Road to a point 10 metres southeast of that junction.

UPPER PARK ROAD, BROMLEY (a) southeast (i) from a point 9.7 metres southwest of the western kerb line of Henville Road to a point 12 metres northeast of the eastern kerb line of Henville Road. SCHEDULE 3: -WAITING RESTRICTIONS:

Convert existing Monday to Friday operating between 11am and 12pm to No Waiting 'at any time': -

RIDGEWAY CRESCENT GARDENS, ORPINGTON (a) southwest side (i) from a point 11.0m north of the western kerb line of Shelley Gardens to a point 14.5 metres south of the eastern kerbline of Shelley Close.

SHELLEY CLOSE, ORPINGTON (a) both sides (i) from its junction with Ridgeway Crescent Gardens to a point 11 metres southwest of that junction. Dated this 5th day of August 2026
