(26-043B) (VARIOUS ROADS, BEAR FLAT, BATH) (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, WAITING, LOADING AND PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Bath and North East Somerset Council has made an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will introduce the following variations to restrictions in the Bear Flat, Bath Area:-
• Introduce Double Yellow Line restrictions on A367 Wellsway, Bloomfield Avenue, Bruton Avenue and Shakespeare Avenue, Bath.
• Introduce a Loading Bay operating 10am-6pm on the A367 Wellsway, Bath.
• Introduce a Goods Vehicles Only Loading Bay operating at all times on the A367 Wellsway, Bath.
• Relocation of the existing X2 Bus Stops and Bus Cages on the A367 Wellsway, Bath.
• Reduction of 1 Hour Limited Waiting by 1 cars length on Hayes Place, Bath.
• Reduction of dual use Permit Holder/4 Hour Limited Waiting parking on Bruton Avenue.
The order will come into operation on 13th August 2026.
Full details of the proposal together with a map and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the order may be inspected at the One Stop Shops at Manvers Street, Bath, The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton and at the Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours. Any person who desires to question the validity of, or any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
