Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 05 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.135 and No.137 Hollow Lane to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.01 and No.02 St Clair Cottages, Hollow Lane. 

Alternative Route: Hollow Lane, High Street, New Farthingdale, and Hollow Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 August 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure. 

Pollards Oak Crescent (D472) Hurst Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 05 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pollards Oak Crescent (D472) Hurst Green as extends from its junction with (D472) Pollards Oak Road to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.64 and No.62 Pollards Oak Crescent. 

Alternative Route: Pollards Oak Crescent and Pollards Oak Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate electrical utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 August 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

High Street (B269) Limpsfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 31 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Street (B269) Limpsfield as extends from its junction with Hookwood Park (X45026) to the access road north of the The Bull Inn.

Alternative route – B269 (High Street), A25 (Westerham Road), B2025 (Detilliens Lane) and B269 (High Street), or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate pole replacement and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 August 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Waterway Road (B2122) Leatherhead and
Guildford Road (D2885) Fetcham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Further to the issue of a Notice under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act”, on 31 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(8) of the Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- 1. Waterway Road (B2122) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with junction with Station Road (A245) to its junction with Roundabout at Waterway Road (B2122); and 2. Guildford Road (D2885) northbound as extends from Roundabout at Waterway Road (B2122) for a distance of 50m.

Alternative route – 1. clockwise only: A245 (Station Approach Road, Randalls Road, Kingston Road and By-Pass Road), A243 (By-Pass Road), A24 (By-Pass Road), A246 (Young Street) and B2122 Guildford Road. 1. Anticlockwise only and 2. B2122 (Guildford Road), A246 (Young Street), A24 (By-Pass Road), A243 (By-Pass Road) and A245 (By-Pass Road, Kingston Road, Bull Hill and Station Road).

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate urgent repairs for leaking sewer pipe and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 August until 8 July 2027. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Rosemary Lane (D349) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Loading and Unloading Order 2026

On 05 August 2026 Surrey County Council made above mentioned Temporary Order under sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit waiting, at any time, by vehicles on both sides of roads that length of Rosemary Lane (D349) Horley as extends from its junction with (B2036) Balcombe Road south-westward for a distance of approximately 55 metres; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting Loading and Unloading and Revocation) Order 2013” insofar as it affects that length of road specified and described in paragraph (a) above. 

This Temporary Order is required to facilitate mains electrical works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by or on behalf of UK Power Networks. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 17 August 2026. 

This temporary restriction which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. 

Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

Southlands Lane (D421) Oxted
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 05 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Southlands Lane (D421) Oxted as extends from its junction with (C84) Broadham Green Road and (C84) Gibbs Brook Lane south-westwards for a distance of approximately 300 metres.

Alternative Route – Broadham Green Road; Hall Hill; Beadles Lane; A25 Godstone Road; Tandridge Lane; and Southlands Lane or this same route in reverse. 

This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 19 August 2026 is required to facilitate new mains electrical connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks within the length of road described in this notice. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 5 weeks between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for residents with then closure area, and the emergency services at all times via steel plates. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

Hazelwood Lane (C137) and Doghurst Lane (D1083) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 5 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the following lengths of Hazelwood Lane (C137) Chipstead:- (i) that length of which extends from its northern arm junction with High Road to its southern arm junction with High Road; (ii) that length of which extends from its junction with Doghurst Lane to its junction with Stagbury Close; and (b) prohibit vehicles from entering Doghurst Lane (D1083) Chipstead at its junction with High Road. 

This Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out cabling works and/or pole testing works during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For sub-paragraph (a)(i) and (b) above: works are anticipated to be carried out on 10/08/26 for 1 day, between 9.30am and 3.30am. 

Alternative Route – Outwood Lane, Chipstead Valley Road, Portnalls Road, Coulsdon Lane and High Road or vice versa. 

For sub-paragraph (a)(ii) above: works are anticipated to be carried out on: 11/08/26 for 1 day, between 9.30am and 3.30am. Alternative Route – High Road. For sub-paragraph (a)(i) and (a)(ii) above: Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be escorted through the site. 

For sub-paragraph (b) above: The prohibition above shall not apply to vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency; or to vehicles under the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, or of a sign placed pursuant to Sections 66 or 67 of the Act.

D1022 Shawley Way, Epsom Downs
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 5 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1022 Shawley Way, Epsom Downs which extends from the northern property boundary of No.64 southwards to the southern property boundary of No.64. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 August 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained when safe to do so. There is no diversion route possible for this closure.

Mid Street (D384) South Nutfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 5 August 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Mid Street (D384) South Nutfield which comprises the railway bridge known as Nutfield Station Railway (D384/1002) and 20m either side of the bridge; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council Mid Street (D384) and North Station Approach (D383) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it relates to the length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) only. 

This Order is required to enable Amey Consulting South East Anglia to carry out bridge examination and/or bridge works, which is anticipated to be completed within overnight, between 10pm and 6am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 August 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. 

Alternative Route – Mid Street, Kings Cross Lane, Bower Hill Lane, Sandy Lane and Mid Street or vice versa.

Meadow View (D838) Smallfield
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles at any time on both sides of the carriageway of Meadow View (D838) Smallfield as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between the rear of the property No.05 and the rear of property No.04 Heather Walk along Meadow View to a point in line with the common boundary between the rear of property No.36 and the rear of property No.35 Heather Walk along Meadow View. 

This Temporary Order is required to facilitate HGV and construction vehicles to gain access to the development site, allowing a safe working zone without obstruction for, or on behalf of Paul Basham Associates. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 weeks, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 31 August 2026. 

This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 August 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

(a) that length of Chalkpit Wood (D441) Oxted as extends from its junction with (D441) Barnetts Shaw to its junction with (D441) Central Way. Alternative Route: Chalkpit Wood, and Central Way, or this route in reverse.

(b) that length of Barnetts Shaw (D441) Oxted as extends from its junction with (D441) Chalkpit Wood to its junction with (D441) Memorial Close. Alternative Route: Chalkpit Wood, Silkham Road, and Barnetts Shaw, or this route in reverse.

(c) that length of Eastlands Way (D441) Oxted as extends from its junction with (D441) Chalkpit Wood to its junction with (X35076) Eastlands Close. Alternative Route: Eastlands Way, Gordons Way, Central Way and Chalkpit Wood, or this route in reverse.

(Various Roads in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead and the District of Mole Valley)

Run Reigate Event (Temporary Traffic Measures) Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), which will take effect on 20 September 2026 for one day only, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding along the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice or any parts thereof. Such restriction shall also apply in relation to the riding, leading or driving of horses or any other animals. 

The Order is required to facilitate the holding of 4 on-road running events namely the Run Reigate Half Marathon, 10K Race, 5K Race and Kids Race. 

The restrictions specified above will not apply to such vehicles being used in connection with the said event, or to anything done on the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic marshal, or any sign placed by Surrey Police. 

Emergency access will be maintained for the police, fire brigade and ambulance services and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic. 

No exemption will apply for disabled persons’ vehicles and all parking places in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below will be suspended.

The prohibitions herein will only be operative while the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The Council are satisfied that, in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which this Order relates, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, or for facilitating the passage of vehicular traffic on the road, vehicular access to premises situated in the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice, or accessible only there from, may be restricted, save for emergency access as indicated above. 

Access for pedestrians will be unaffected. It is anticipated that the temporary closures will take effect from 8am until 2pm, though roads will re-open when it is safe and practical to do so. The Council are also satisfied, in accordance with subsection (3) of Section 16A of the Act, that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road. 

Alternative routes will be signed and access to Westvale Park will be maintained by suspending the prohibition of turn/entry to and from Webber Street from Meath Green Lane at its northernmost junction, imposed by The Meath Green Lane (D334) and Webber Street Horley (Prohibition of Turn and Entry and Revocation) Order 2022.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in the entire length of Townpath – Rothes Road (T8049) Dorking. Alternative route – Townpath London Road, London Road and Rothes Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate the construction of the replacement of footbridge parapets and deck and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 31 August 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site.

Rectory Lane (B278) Woodmansterne
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rectory Lane (B278) Woodmansterne as extends from its junction with Outwood Lane (B2032) to its junction with Manor Way (D1075). 

Alternative route – B2032 (Outwood Lane), Chipstead Way and Manor Way, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate renewal of the drainage system and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 September 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

B2032 Outwood Lane, Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B2032 Outwood Lane, Chipstead:- a) at the western side of its junction with How Lane, that is crossed by the “How Lane Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20m either side. 

Alternative route:- Outwood Lane, Lower Park Road, Hollys Lane, Bolters Lane, Winkworth Road, Croydon Lane, Woodmansterne Lane, Little Woodcote Lane, Smitham Bottom Lane, Woodcote Grove Road and Chipstead Valley Road. b) at the northern side of its junction with D1151 Castle Road, that is crossed by the “Chipstead Balley Viaduct”

and for a distance of 20m either side. Alternative route:- Outwood Lane, Waterhouse Lane, Bonsor Drive, Brighton Road, Bolters Lane, Holly Lane, Lower Park Road and Outwood Lane. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail to carry out bridge examinations and/or maintenance and/or associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 6am, within 2 nights of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 September 2026, part a) overnight commencing on 03 September 2026, and part b) overnight commencing on 04 September 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carriageway dressing/ pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 21 August 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) revoke part 1 of the Schedule to “Surrey County Council Various in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2025”. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carriageway dressing/pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 August 2026. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site.

4. that length of D420 Gibbs Brook Lane, Oxted which extends from its junction with D421 Southlands Lane to its junction with D419 Crowhurst Lane. 5. that length of D429 New Road, Limpsfield which extends from its junction with B269 Kent Hatch Road to its junction with C85 Wolfs Row. Alternative Route – B269 Kent Hatch Road, A25 Westerham Road and C85 Wolfs Row;

6. that length of D432 Monks Lane, Edenbridge which extends from its junction with D431 Grants Lane eastwards to the boundary between Tandridge District Council and Kent County Council. Alternative Route – D432 Hole Lane, B2026 Main Road, Hilders Lane, Little Browns Lane, C92 Honeypot Lane and D431 Grants Lane;

7. that length of D454 Scotshall Lane, Chelsham which extends from its junction with X455 High Hill Road to its junction with C77 Church Lane. Alternative Route – D454 Farleigh Court Road, C217 Farleigh Common, C217 Farleigh Road, C228 Sunnybank, C77 Chelsham Road, C77 Chelsham Common and C77 Church Lane;

8. that length of C83 Tandridge Lane, Tandridge/Lingfield which extends from its junction with Crowhurst Lane End to its junction with Ray Lane. Alternative Route – B2029 The Common, A22 Eastbourne Road and C86 Miles Lane.
