Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Stadhampton, B480 Chiselhampton
30mph Speed Limit
Date of Order: 24 August 2026
Coming into force: 2 September 2026
This Order is being introduced to facilitate safe working for network cabling upgrade scheme which is anticipated to be completed 13 September 2026. The effect of the Order is to reduce the existing 50 mph speed limit to 30 mph along that part of the B480 south of Chiselhampton Hill from a point 150 meters north of Cuddesdon Road to a point 200 metres south of Richmond Hill Farm entrance. Exemptions are included for emergency vehicles. The relevant part of the Oxfordshire County Council (Stadhampton – Chalgrove Areas) (Speed Limits) Order 2025 will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the works. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18159/AC)

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 3 August 2026
Coming into force: 10 August 2026
This Order is being introduced because of topographical survey and drainage survey works which are anticipated to be completed 21 August 2026. This will operate between 20:00 and 06:00hrs. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Hayden Road between Station Road and Broadway. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Hayden Road, Station Road, B4493, Broadway and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18110/AC)

This Order is being introduced because of water main works which is anticipated to take until 31 August 2026 to be completed. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Bramling Cross outside property Nos.30 & 31. Exemptions are included for emergency vehicles, the Works and for access to property. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Prohibition of Through Traffic

This Order is being introduced because of water mains replacement and connection works which are anticipated to be completed 26 October 2026. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Northend between Hollandridge and Hartwood. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians. The alternative route for traffic is via Patemore Lane, Stoner, Balham’s Lane, Red Lane, Howe Hill, Hollandridge Lane and vice versa.
