THE STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 18
(PART) CHEADLE PARISH (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the section of Public Footpath No. 18 (part) Cheadle Parish from the junction with the temporary footpath for approximately 47m to its junction with Draycott Cross Road.

The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to the construction of an access junction and track serving the Cheadle Battery Storage Facility.

An alternative route is available.

A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.

This Order will come into operation on 1/9/26 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
