What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CHALONS WAY, ILKESTON
WHEN: 24 August to 28 August 2026 (19:00 to 23:59 each night).
WHERE: Chalons Way, between White Lion Square and Rutland Square.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: White Lion Square, A609 Derby Road, High Lane East, High Lane West, Belper Road, Ilkeston Road, A608 Main Road, Heanor Road, High Street, Market Street, A6007 Ilkeston Road Hassock Lane, Heanor Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
