(ADDITION OF A FOOTPATH BETWEEN PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 44 AND RIBER ROAD – PARISH OF MATLOCK)
MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

The above Order made on 18th June 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a Footpath in the Parish of Matlock from Point A at junction with Footpath No. 20 (Ordnance Survey Grid Reference “GR” SK31135909) in a generally northwestern direction to Riber Road at Point B (GR SK30985912), with a width varying between 3 and 6.4 metres and a length of 163 metres.

Documents can also be seen free of charge at County Hall, Matlock, during normal office hours where copies may be bought at the price of £1.00 or at Matlock Library, Steep Turnpike, Matlock, DE4 3DP during normal opening times.
Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to the Director of Legal Services at the address below or by email to

not later than Thursday, 17 September 2026, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Derbyshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
