THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS
AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY
RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being or
proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect will
be to prohibit any Heavy Goods Vehicle from making the right
turn manoeuvre from Ogden Road at Wheatley Hills in the
City of Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this
notice on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to an emergency repair for a burst
rising main are undertaken on the roundabout.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for HGV’s
affected by the Order is via Thorne Road A18, Sandall Park
Roundabout, Thorne Road A18.

The Proposed Order will continue in force up to and including
the 30th day of September 2026 or until the works which it is
proposed to carry out in or near the said road have been
completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not
completed within the stated time the Order may be continued
in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for

00:01hrs 16th August 2026 until 17:00hrs 30th August 2026.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 30th September 2026.

AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY
RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council

225mm new water mains are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Lords Head Lane, Edlington Lane,
Broomhouse Lane and vice versa.
