TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
NEWTONWOOD LANE, NEWTON
WHEN: 25 August 2026 (09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: Newtonwood Lane, Newton from the Jct. with Saw Pit Lane for a distance of 120m in a south westerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate cabling works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Newtonwood Lane, Littlemoor Lane, Main Street, Newton Road,
Alfreton Road, High Street, Mansfield Road, Wild Hill, Chesterfield Road, Newtonwood Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
