Lower Farlington Road, Havant Road And Fitzherbert Road - Proposed Traffic Calming Measures And Waiting Restrictions

PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS - LOWER FARLINGTON ROAD, HAVANT ROAD AND FITZHERBERT ROAD

1. Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council proposes to make the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: The Portsmouth City Council (Various Roads, Drayton Area) (Waiting Restrictions) Order 2026 and to introduce speed humps under the Highways Act 1980.
2. The effect of the Order would be to:
a) Introduce the following “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions in the following roads:
Havant Road:
i. On the south side, extend the existing restriction from 6 metres to 8.5 metres west of its junction with Lower Farlington Road;
ii. On the south side, outside No. 422 Havant Road (8.5 metres length); and
iii. On the north side, outside No. 321 Havant Road, (7.5 metres length).
Lower Farlington Road:
i. On the east side, outside property Nos. 15; No.17 and No.19 (20 metres length);
b) install traffic calming measures comprising speed cushions at the following locations:

c) Minor relocation (2.5 metres westwards) and extension of the existing loading bay on the south side of Havant Road, west of its junction with Lower Farlington Road, from the existing 10 metres by 2 metres westwards
d) Introduce a buildout to accommodate the bus stop, on the south side of Havant Road, outside Nos. 420 and 422 Havant Road, reduced in length from from the existing 22 metres to 5 metres.

4. Persons wishing to object to these proposals must do so by sending their representations to
