BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL

(CROWTHORNE ROAD, BRACKNELL AND RECTORY LANE, BRACKNELL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding in any direction along:

a) College Road, Bracknell between Reeds Hill and Spinner Green.

b) Rectory Lane between Pond Moor Road and junction with Crowthorne Road.

The alternative route for this closure is:

a) Crowthorne Road, Wildridings Road, Crowthorne Road and this route reversed.

b) Reeds Hill, South Hill Road, A322 Bagshot Road, Rectory Lane and this route reversed.

The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while the Highway Authority carry out carriageway patching.

The proposed Order will come into operation on the 27th August 2026, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the footpath closure will be in place until 14:30 on 27th August 2026.

This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
