College Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Highway Signpost Replacement Works
What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (COLLEGE ROAD, SANDHURST) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction along:
a) College Road, Sandhurst between A321 Yorktown Road and Davis Garden.
The alternative route for this closure is College Road, Richmond Road, Branksome Hill Road, A321 Yorktown Road and this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while the Highway Authority replace a missing signpost.
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 10th August 2026, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the footpath closure will be in place until 15:30 on 10th August 2026.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
