(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
CROSS COMMON LANE, WRESSLE
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Cross Common Lane, Wressle the whole length starting at the junction with Station Road commencing 3 August 2026 to allow works for excavation to locate and repair damaged/blocked telecoms duct to enable provision of services to properties as part of the larger fibre to the home scheme. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed works to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Station Road, Hull Road, Main Road, Green Lane, Rowlandhall Lane and Cross Common Lane, Wressle CP, Howdenshire Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for
vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 3 August 2026 and continue in force for a period not exceeding
