TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC 151634953 : The City of Manchester (St John Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on St John Street between Deansgate and Longworth Street.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Deansgate, Tonman Street, Longworth Street.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate crane operations.
It is expected that the works will be in progress between 19th August 2026 & 13th November 2026 and 4th January 2027 & 29th January 2027.
The order shall come into operation on 19th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC 151638996: The City of Manchester Dark Lane, Cresbury Street,Mill, Green Street, Ardwick Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Dark Lane From Adlington Street to Williams Street, & Cresbury Street From Dark Lane to N Western Street, & Mill Green Street From Dark Lane to Williams Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed Locally.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Utility Works.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 17th August 2026 to 18th August 2026 between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00.
The order shall come into operation on 17th August 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
