SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER IN THE BROMBOROUGH AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Maple Grove (Temporary Road Closure) Bromborough Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close Maple Grove (Northern access), Bromborough from a point 50 metres west from its junction with Beechwood Road for a distance of 25 metres in a westerly direction to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: Maple Grove (Southern access), Beechwood Road.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 17 August 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 21 August 2026.

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Higher Bebington Road (Temporary Road Closure) Bebington Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close Higher Bebington Road, Bebington at a point 90 metres north from its junction with Acreville Road for a distance of 200 metres in a north-westerly direction to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: Higher Bebington Road, Teehey Lane, Heath Road, Pulford Road.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 13 August 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated the works will be completed by 27 August 2026.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 16A

VICTORIA ROAD PRIDE NEW BRIGHTON SPECIAL EVENT ORDER 2026

Whereas Wirral Borough Council are satisfied that the use of the roads listed below should be restricted to facilitate the above special event and to enable it to take place safely.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its powers under s16A of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers having satisfied itself that it is not reasonably practicable for the event to be held without being on this road intends to make an Order in the following terms:

No person shall cause any vehicle to enter or proceed along the length of roads listed below:

Victoria Road, New Brighton from its junction Rowson Street to its junction with Windsor Street.

Grosvenor Road, New Brighton from its junction with Victoria Road to its junction with Hope Street.

Waterloo Road, New Brighton from its junction with Wellington Road to its junction of Victoria Road.

Alternative routes for diverted vehicular traffic will be signed accordingly.

The Order will not prevent reasonable access at any time for pedestrians to premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates nor any premises accessible only to pedestrians from such a road.

This Order will be known as the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral Victoria Road Pride New Brighton Special Event Order 2026 and shall come into operation on the 8 August 2026 and apply on that day only from 06:00 am to 23:59 pm.
