NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Meadow Drive Prestbury
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Meadow Drive, Prestbury – Outside house number 2 to house number 4.
The alternative route will be from Meadow Drive and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Tuesday 1st September 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 14th September 2026.

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Castle Hill, Prestbury – From Number 35 to Chelford Road Prestbury.
The alternative route will be via Castle Hill, Wilmslow Road, Prestbury Road, Hough Lane Roundabout, Hough Lane, Adlington Road, Adlington Road Roundabout, Woodford Road Roundabout, Woodford Road, King Street, Church Lane, Chester Road, Manchester East Airport Link, Roy Chadwick Way, London Road, Flash Lane Roundabout, Silk Road, Ball Lane Roundabout, The Silk Road, Brockhurst Roundabout, Hurdsfield Road Roundabout, Hibel Road, Beech Lane, Manchester Road, Heybridge Lane, Prestbury Lane, New Road, The Village and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Tuesday 1st September 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 11th September 2026.

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Adlington Road, Bollington – Outside House No.25
The alternative route will be via Sugar Lane, Brookledge Lane, Shrigley Road, Palmerston Street, Wellington Road, Adlington Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Thursday 6th August 2026 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Wednesday 19th August 2026.

NOTICE OF MAKING (VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) (VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2022 – (Amendment No. 4) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that on 30 July 2026 Cheshire East Borough Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 19, 65,(1) and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and in accordance with its duty under Section 122 of the said Act.
1. The effect of the Order, which will come into operation on 30 July 2026, will be to -
a) Amend the Cheshire East Borough Council (Various Traffic Movements) (Various Roads) (Consolidation) Order 2022 by introducing a One Way as outlined in Schedule 1 below and replacing Map Tile No. BE151 Rev 0, with BE151 Rev1 in the Consolidation Order schedules.
2. A copy of the Order; a map showing the restricted areas; a statement of reasons for making the Order, a copy of this public notice and a copy of the public notice of the proposal to make the order are available to view at: bit.ly/2RR0UkD.
